When the full-on sound first got big, with GSM, Astrix and their other clones, i was one of the ones hating the sound, heavily critising it and lamenting the state of the trance scene.

However, I think lately there has been a real rise in quality of full-on being released with stuff like Wizzy Noise, Altom, Silicon Sound and many others, now i am finding myself in love with the sound, starting to listen to it much more than prog.

Anyone has the same feelings as me? Would be interesting to hear.

I liked it before it gor big, i.e. before the cloning era.
I realize today, there is intelligent full-on out there, but as I am unprepared to wade through the rest to hear snippets of quality, I have all but given up on it.
Occasionally, I will stumble upon a release (usually recommended by a friend) that I will enjoy, but apparently what I thought was intelligent full-on was discredited as full-on by Basilisk. : )           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

hi..
i think its many clone-stuff (like u say) out there, i mean many sounds have been used before and much stuff simply sounds "usual", but i am into full-on quiet a bit longer than the hype came up and i think the "hype" brought many GOOD new influences into this kind of music that simply makes this whole thing take a step further and thats the good thing all about that........

IT DEVELOPES ! ;-)

I remember someone having the signature "Who needs minimal when you can have the MAXIMAL"

Back then I honestly did enjoy full on. Now, besides Tikal and a few others, who I don't really consider to be full on anyways, like Antidote for example I can't fucking stand it. To me it's idiotic rave music for the masses, happy hardcore descendant..

sorry

by the way - its ok not to like everything
i think full-on has gotten to the point of the biggest market saturation any psytrance has gotten until now. what the future holds... nobody knows for certain.
like further said - either you sift through the incredible amounts of full-on garbage to get the gems.... or you dont.
as for me - im a sifter baby.... sift sift sift - - "oh shit! diamond in the rough" worth every sift

I would like to quote a sample from a Hydrophonic track:

"In a place like this magic is all around you... The trick is to see it..."

Respect!           .
...Be gentle with the earth...
...Dance like nobody's watching...

@madpup.

Music from Wizzy Noise and Silicon Sound will ALWAYS be engineering masterpieces.

But right now..in terms of Full-on i tend to lean towards the acidized full -on like..
Absolum, CPU, S S,

As for regular.. I find Bizarre Contact and Electro Sun to be fresh and nice stuff.           ~*** You can tell By the way i use my walk, Im a woman's man, No time to Talk***~

I usually defend fullon in other threads(there are so many haters, i thought it needed help), but heres my real opinion... the genre has its gems, but its just hard to find them. I fell in love with south african fullon, thats about all i listen to.

in general, if you have heard one fullon song you have heard them all.

Full on vs full crap
theres full on and then there is full crap
which gets churned out, theres also full load which really drives the brain insane, but technically full crap has better sounds...weird but crap sounds better with a beat, a bad example of full on is
Safi Connection- Figga Nigga, compared to all their previous releases this one for sure is wierd....sounds like madonna's visit to the Kabbalah was intercepted by the Safi's. the ray of light full on version truly sucks. but besides that all their previous releases have been very impressive.
hopefully Fluffy Puppy will make a come back soon

I find it real hard on the dancefloor very exhausting dance. literally Full-On...
there are simply much better psytrance than full-on, its a matter of taste,
