Just wanted to know what the plan musicwise is for this party.. the flyer looks quite promising and considering halloween is just around the corner?!?!?!
also, apparently those jo'burgers play considerably solid stuff, so pls give us a heads up if this is gna be dark..

Biography: SENSE
I was born on January 30th 1978 in Durban, South Africa. I now reside in Johannesburg, Gauteng. I have been producing electronic music for the past 5 years, I would describe my style as being progressive trance, in more words I would say its deep, atmospheric, tribal, melodic at times but still phat, driving and underground.
I am influenced by a lot of other artists for which I have huge respect, yet I try to create my own sound that is true to me
My influences probably come from a variety of different music I have encountered over the years. The older stuff being Pink Floyd, Bauhaus and Depeche Mode. I also enjoyed The underground tribal house type stuff around the late 90's,newer stuff would be artists like Antix , Freq ,Frogacult , Neelix , Yotopia ,Auricular , 360 Degrees to name but a few.
I have to say that I am hugely impressed at how electronic music has progressed over the years and am proud to be a part of it, even if it is just another brick in the wall.....

huh? ...is this a biography thread now..
well lets see...when i was 8 i got my first and only casio keyboard..it was small and red and had some loops and other sounds , like lasers, and crappy strings...
i became obsessed with multi-tracking but i couldnt hack it on tape...eventualy i used two tape recorders..
also my granny played the drums which inspired me to like beats
(ok so i made that last part up)

If you go to this party some people would like to know more about the artists that they are going to see, It's being informative and gives you an idea of what you can expect.

i think thats a bit much! accusing me of negatove vibes...
i am positive... i am just a realist as well... its not all acid blots and bongs i tell you.
but seriously tho...i have been very good in the last week...i even started a thread that was positive to timecode..
i have offered to help any producer with acoustics (for free)
now if thats not being positive than i duno what is...
i just made a lil joke about bio's...and i wasnt joking entirely (only the granny part), when i was eight i really did get a small commercial casio keyboard, that got me infatuated with electronic sounds, apart from that when i was a little older , my dad got his first midi system , with cakewalk pro (sonar for those that duno), with a JV80 and that was always cool to make sounds on...
then during high skool i was too much into my art to care about music..until end of matric where a buddy got me back into it by giving me a copy of fruity 2.7 and cubase 4
from there..reason to sx, but unfortunately havnt been making tunes for the last 2 years due to intensifying studies..
however my music career goes back further than that when i was in Sub B, i played violin to Std 1. incredibly hard instrument ...kept on missing art class as well so i lussed it...
any questions....
THIS IS ONE MAJOR THREAD HIJACKING SESSION...

huh? ...it's only applicable to post your bio if it relates to the event.
But now we know if someone wanted to book a artist that played violin in sub B and a knows his casio, 1337 is your man.
Ha Ha, now thats funny.
This party is gonna rock solid, besides the interresting new live acts, I think they have a fresh DJ' line up aswell. |
