so you want to be a mass controlled puppet ? what they fund you make...if they dont you slave to them and give up on ur originality eh...crowdfunding is the sucker punch...easy way to buy you. the system that runs crowdfunding is the same as the system that prevents you from getting ur music out..all crowdfunding sites have administrators...

I live in Australia and make psycore. Not exactly making music for the masses. No enslavement here.
Actually, crowd funding is a way for me to have freedom to create the art I want.
Nothing prevents me from getting my music out.
I think you are missing the point entirely.

With the amount made already could get some Yamaha HS80m. A good friend uses them & swears by them for the price (he makes drum n bass though).
There's also the Adam F series, never heard them but you can get the 7" ones for about $1000 or slightly less AUD.

Another trance killah(not sure how you dark kids spell killer but i think im close enough)! Thats super sweet your getting free money but come on! Everyone is an artist, life is art no matter what you say, we are all special not just you. The poor artist speech format has been used in trance for over 15 years now…if you go to school full-time and do art full-time plus a full-time father with no job then you must live in America taking advantage of the welfare system or your just fortunate to have someone paying your way who refuses to buy you speakers cause they want you to get a job. Go to school part-time and do your hobby(art) music stuff part-time and get a full-time job to buy them speakers yourself plus buy you child some toys, now thats psycore. |

All I am doing here is asking people to buy my art to help me continue making it. If you don't want to buy my art then don't. It really is that simple.
This is not donation, this is not 'money for free' as you labelled it, this is me taking an initiative and selling my music in a way that supersedes the stores and gives me 100% return.
I have worked hard to make this music, it is a 'real' job. I do it for love, not money but love doesn't buy new speakers. So I have, for the first time in my music career, pushed for people to buy my music.

@Kumquat I'm trying to understand your position but having difficulty.
Monitors are a tool for his music making.
Is it less legitimate than a guitarist to do the same for a new pair of strings, or that dual humbucker he's been wanting?
To me this seems like the same the same thing.
Though I haven't ever heard Satori's music, I just have a feeling he's a genuine guy, passionate for what he does and pretty good at it, Regardless what tools or instruments he uses for making music.
