hey guys,
whats the best way of creating kicks on mac?
anything goes, standalone software or even VSTs and/or AUs....

u could try andi vax' method mentioned in his video (just search for it) - he uses kontakt and pitches around with sine waves

or try layering different sounds (old kicks with new attack noises for example)

synsun's tutorial rocks ! very easy to shape a kick , i also recommend sound forge/audition/wavelab for the final edits.(normalize,extra tweaking,etc)

Would be nice If you could have multiple layers in BassISM,

maybe just open two instances and do it with those (yeah its not so nice like to have it in one gui, but still...)

With Audiofinder you can create EXS files for individual Samples.

For what is that useful you might think?!

Imagine you have a folder with 1000 Kicks, and youi created 1000 EXS files for them.

Now you can simply load the first Kick and switch kicks using the + - Buttons or even a assigned shortcut until you found the desired best matching Sample.           http://facebook.com/ansolas
