the Akashic CD is a compilation of Cosmosis' tracks from his four first albums. They're now very hard to buy (especially the first two), so Billy thought he'd release it for people to be able to hear the old stuff.
I myself would choose some different tracks from those albums, but it's a matter of taste. And frankly, all Cosmosis' track are good, so it doesn't really make a difference which one you'll pick :-D
My advice is: get the old albums if you can. You won't regret it, because IMO it's the very top of psychedelic trance, especially the Synergy from 1998
Personally I wait for other Cosmosis' compilation - with an off-albums tracks. I very rarely buy the compilations, so I'd like to have many of his tracks (Outer Limits, Howling at The Moon, Caves of Medusa, Space Pigs, Reality Check etc.) that were released only there... I'd pay twice the normal price for a CD like this... I Hope Bill and his distributor are listening ;-) |

i was waitin for this cd for few funkin years and then i got it i was dissaponted completly .. 1st track is nice , and the main killer is 'higher access' is very close to hallucinogen 'shamanix' , its brilliant , pure goa .. synergy is diff frm his 1st work cosmology , also for me it much worse , has only one great track , and the whole cosmology is asome , the 1st full album frm a former prog shit trance dj .. Bill was turned into the psy
and his new remastered album with tracks frm previously released albums , wot to say , i wanted to hear another songs released on singles and diff comps , for example Bills most uniq track 'howlin at the mon' was not included in albums , even for me this song is the psy gem
if anyone wanna get some of his rare works , my advice is to get his 1st album cosmology (96)
and i m gonna fwd antic`s post to Bill
" And as the gods have given us , so we return the gift " - Bill Cosmosis " Gift of the Gods "
" That's right - otherworld lifeforms . A fucking alien ! "
'Strange word like 'psychedelic,' you know - drugs, the whole bit, you know, 'fre |

there is no my fav trax included
no canabanoid,alien disco,higher access
8. Dissociation is from his 3rd album ' intergalactic' relesed by transient in 2000 .. album is [retty diff as usually , they not sounds alike , they all r diff , but always with special touch so u can recognise its Billy

'Howling At The Moon' is one of the best old school goa tracks ever. And I have it... hehehe, it's on Pulse 3, a double cd compilation with lots of other old classics. Excellent compilation that.

Back when I was in high school I used this album as a teacher torture device. I would put it in my walkman and turn it up really loud, then hide my walkman somplace where I could reach over at just the right moment, and turn it on and off, so when a quiet moment hit all of a sudden the whole room would, very faintly hear the squeeking and squealching highs. People would be all looking around for the source of the strange sounds while trying not to look like they were looking around. The effect was more hilarious than can be described. Poor physics teacher...

these reviews made me listen to howling at the moon again... unbelievable layers of acid madness all around straight from the beggining to the end with it changing all the time... why dont artists produce stuff like this anymore?
thank you people for re reviewing old albums and making me listen to those classics which make me realize again and again why i love this music so much |
