Cosmic Intermission ///A Solstice Celebration

So far, this musical journey has taken us far beyond our wildest imaginations… At Double Helix, we were able to experience the wrath of Chromatone, Arahat, Lauryn and Eg-Bot. Just prior, we recall the intense emotions that were invoked by the master Ocelot, as he piloted our sonic spaceship throughout the cosmos and back again! Cosmic Intermission ///A Solstice Celebration is not only a culmination of these past two Mindoutpsyde events, but of an entire two years of spreading Psytrance throughout Iowa, and beyond! In addition, Cosmic Intermission will be a stepping stone event preceding Part Three of Mindoutpsyde’s Transformation Trilogy: The Third Eye!
Prepare yourselves for a cosmic celebration of peak performances from some of the finest Psy-slingers the Midwest has to offer! As the Earth approaches one of the apexes of its orbit around the Sun, all of the Northern Hemisphere will be at its greatest distance from the Sun. As this celestial occurrence commences, we too will reach an apex as we near the conclusion of this amazing year of 2007. This celebration will prove to be an invigorating way to transition into the 2008 finale of this phenomenal three part series. Join us as we celebrate this cosmic alignment and prepare for winter break!
Featuring an amazing blacklight environment that is sure to stimulate the senses, two stages of sound (main stage / chill stage), interactive blacklight performances, great drink specials, and a multi-dimensional soundscape, which will resonate throughout the night.

there is much noise for this gig locally, more on Facebook.com and Chilluminati.org forums, mainly because we are not advertising this as a FULL-SCALE Mindoutpsyde event, seeing as we are not flying in any diverse headlining performers to enrich the event. It is an event with just us Mindoutpsyde DJs, and it has been presented as more of an "opportunity event" for the mainstream college folk here to get a better taste of what we are doing. By charging only 5 bucks, we are generating a lot of hype as our previous parties were 10 and 15 bucks. Had we planned more for this event, it would have been done as a full-scale production, but instead, we are pouring all extra efforts into our upcoming, mega-event, The Third Eye - January 18th 2008!
In short, we just didnt want the Psytrance community thinking we were full of ourselves by advertising any of us local DJs as headliners, so instead, we are using this event as a bridge event, or as an intermission event, to connect us to Part III of III: The Third Eye. gives us an opportunity to celebrate the solstice, to dance, to bond, and to promote and prepare for The Third Eye in January.
PLUS there is a highly anticipated NYE party in Wisconsin that most trancers have chosen to attend instead of this event due to work-time-off complications, although we assure you, attendance and energy will not be lacking whatsoever January 18th.
