i actually intended to move to london these months. i believe it is the most faszinating place to be in europe. am i wrong with this assumption? probably not. well it is something totally different from berlin and hamburg, and from all the rest anyway. as a "natural born nomad", london is one of the places that one has to have seen from the very inside.
...i just postponed it because of a male&love issue , but "postponed" is not given up.

may be someone would send me a message from london ? someone from all those discussions through the years? live is better than forums

London is still cool, but very very expensive. Saying that, there are still places to be found that won't necessarily break the bank. The psy scene itself is pretty healthy although it seems to be split into squat parties and legit parties in clubs/venues etc. Most psy music tastes are catered for. I've been living in London since the late 90's and I love it here. So many people from different countries and the food is great. OK, it's a big city and you can easily get lost, but it's also easy to escape to the country side. If you do come here, drop me a message here or hit me up on facebook if you need any pointers about where to look for accomodation/parties etc.

oh thanks!:)
i will drop a line the next time i walk through camden market and surf through isratrance and the rest of the trance places on the web .

btw, i am very interested in a walk to stonehedge:). let me know, if anyone is interested too.

is it really that expensive? i thought that the scandinavian countries are the most expensive in europe? isn't it similar like hamburg in london ( hamburg is expensive too).

especially the food: i did not notice that it is expensive....but anyway probably the salaries are better too. and more opportunities anyway.

p.s. as a matter of fact, it was even cheap (at least food, restaurants and things like that).

To be honest price wise there's not much difference between London and Stockholm, for example.

the last time i took a room in the travelodge near waterloo where there was a small market with deliciously cooked food from all over the world. the prices were so cheap that i coudn't even dream to find a meal at a price of 200 percent of them here in germany for example.

but you are right, it is supposed to be the second most expensive city in europe. i guess, at the end of the day, one has to work hard to be able to pay life in london. like everywhere else probably. only that london is probably the only metropolitan city in europe. the last time i came back from there to hamburg, i had the feeling that time has other dimensions in london and the rest is just sleeping:).

well it is surely the best place for people working with technology, innovations, start ups and so on in europe. for that privileg it can cost a bit more. but lets see.

hamburg is a village. better compare london to berlin.
both are special, both nice. agreed, london has more metropolitan character.           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

i haven't lived in hamburg for a long time, actually only for a while because of a job. and the trance scene in this city is....well i better not start with that again. for me it is worse than asleep. but life is more than the party scene.

i was in berlin before that and i know berlin really well. the point is that berlin is place to hang out and do nothing, live cheap, do art, survive on the edge. it is fine, if this is what one needs, but at the end of the day, not really the place for nice innovative projects, especially in the field of technology and new media, where i work. london is just so much more innovative. i guess, this is because london has more connections to the silicon valley.

p.s. and it might be a village, but it is the richest village in germany and germany is the strongest economy in europe. you know:). it is a nice green city with loads of water
and it used to be the capital of trance for many years, no?

********* question ***********

now i really need your advice .
just got an invitation for another week to spend in the london headquarters in january (or february). i have to choose the week myself. can anyone recommend some events or happenings which are good to see in london during this time? would be fantastic to know that and spend some time with cultural issues in the evenings.
or may be i just ask the london city app ))

actually the best form to live is in my opinion to live and work in many different places at the same time. i cannot imagine anything better than that. this is what i always envied artists for.
