We all know and see how many controversial artists there are in the psy scene, how much ppl hate GMS to the bone while other idolize them and collecting every tune they ever concieved. I remember reading a review on Psynews.org of Reefer Decree's debut album and finding out how totally different views can exist on the same scene.
But can we see the opposide side? Are there artists that recieve the same amount of appreciation on both camps? The obvious answer should be Simon Posford whose music inluenced greately almost everything we hear today. But who are younger artists who share the same consensual status? Sub6? Cosma? Ticon? What makes the glue that joints the torn sides together?           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Hehe, offcourse VV.
As for OTT and Benji i also agree. Simon and almost everyhting that released in Twisted records (Excluding GMS Remixes to Finger/Gamma Goblins) are definetely Consensus in the scene.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Cosma's first album. I don't know anyone who didn't like it, progressive and full on fans.           Majority is never right!

traveller, you and Elisium can open up a legue on your own - if Twisted, its good, and DARE the man who says otherwise!

I'm sure that there are people who might say that Simon's music sux, or OTT, or Benji (yes man, I know its unthinkable but it is possible) - there is always diversion in tastes, and that is something good, I think.

But yes, the closest thing to concensus is indeed Twisted rec', and maybe also Ticon and Bitmonx? although true progressive I believe that they are apreciated throughout the trance scene.

I didn't like the first as well, but the second is in league of itself.
BTW i'll disagree with Helen on Bitmonx, it's quite easu to find ppl who won't even consider it as Psy.
Ticon's last album is definetely a fusion of the good ol' Ticon with enough power and melodies to satisfy the hardcorest Full onist.
More artists that i think are well respected everywhere:
KoxBox/Saikopod
Logic Bomb
Vibrasphere

The only consensus there is, is that there is no consensus.

i also dont think there can be total consensus on any artist. but the closest to consensus can be shpongle. met few people who dont like it.           `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot
