Or "the real akbal"...kinda like "the real slim shady"...worked for Eminen innit, the dude made millions.

On a more serious note, its your first release (from what I understood). Find a new name, change the artwork and move on with life and music.

Peace out.

It's not his smiley, both his nick and the smiley were named after the weapon named MK47 (hint: google it).

As for the topic, it is an interesting subject, for example I think different artists use(d) the name Kronos.

Good luck with your album, don't let these thinks upset you, what matters the most is the music.

@ Cardinals Cartel: your comment was superb, ehehehe, made me laugh, might be an idea, jeje.. Anyways, still for me what matters is to find the person behind this release, I have found no facebook, no myspace, no soundcloud, no reverbnation, no label, no name, no infos, no country, nothing.. So the curiousity is itching.... I saw many people sugested to change name, but after registering it and spending 14 years to somehow get the name known, it would feel like throwing all those years of work away.. A name is no more but a name.. I am fully aware of this.. But if after years of using that particular name to introduce music, performing live and dj-sets, getting a full album ready that many are aware of, changing the name would almost be like starting from zero. Like the moderator "full_on" already mentioned: it seems there are more people in this scene who create and perform using double names.. Now ain't that confusing? Who is who? What is the use of registering names? If this discussion is supposed to be continued, I am hoping for 2 things: first: to find out who released this ep.. second: what about 2 or more people using the same name.. Is ok, or better avoid confusement?
Last note for etnarama: you met a mexican girl in London.. Guess that was me, as I used to live in Mexico for 5 years and when coming back to Europe, people thought I was Mexican.. Does not really matter though.. This topic seems to be getting to personal, just pleeeaaassseee, somebody give me infos about the person behind this ep!!!!
Peace out.

Not really.
It took you 14 years to get your skills to the level which could make "Akbal" name known. Start over with a new name and it would take 1 month, not 14 years.
It's not like you're Shpongle or something.

Yes , Sure , Mike A is right . Hwo care about the name , If the music is good its good . I use 3 names (Cardinals Cartel , Black Machine and Interior Torture , And if i will find an new interesting name so i will use it too) , This is not matter at all , You should concentrate with your music all the other things is nothing .

No one can take the years , The knowledge and what you got so far from you .

What about hearing your tunes in the 'Workshop Section' will be nice and
give us some light on your stuff and a little more info about you .

There will always be artists using a name someone already used. That's how things are.

I have seen many using the name Elysium. Both as DJ's, deco-teams and mixed with another name. Elysium Cray is one.

I once asked a UK DJ to stop using the name Elysium while playing as a DJ both in UK and abroad. It took a huge fight (from his side) to change it. After all I had the years to back up my right to the name in this scene. He was a newcomer.

But at the end of the day it's not really worth the hassle unless your name is very established in the scene. I dont think your name is that established and it should be quite easy to find a new one. Correct me if I am wrong. Just make sure to do the research finding a name no one use (check websites with more than .com) etc. etc.
