What about concerts?I want to see JUNO REACTOR L I V E!Is there any chance? I think Rodon is a very good place. I've seen ETNICA there and it was too good. There other projects too, such as JOUJOUKA, INFECTED MUSHROOM, SPHONGLE, TIM SCHULDT which can play live and there people who can support them. |

The prices on bands like Juno Reactor,Infected Mushroom and Sphongle are very very high so its very difficult to see them soon in our country

hey guys it's shpongle not sphongle...
dear detox shpongle will release soon their new album "nothing lasts"...i think that it will be the release of the century...so please do your best and book them...i don't have a problem to pay 60E for a shpongle live event... |

Raziel first of all thanks for correcting the name,i always mess it up 
You see Raziel you might not have a problem to pay 60 euros for such a live event BUT such a price is very high for the average listener PLUS i doubt that enough people will come to such an event in order for the promoter to break even,and trust me in such an event a promoter can loose A LOT of money if something goes wrong and not enough people turn up.You see people are more into full on music and not enough of them know and appreciate music like Sphongle.
I hope in the future that things might change or someone has the balls,cause it needs a lot of balls,to bring such a live act and take the risk.

Detox I think you are totally wrong here. It's all about quality.
Have you ever seen Shpongle or Juno Reactor for example playing live? I have and I'm telling you that I would pay 100 euros to go and see them live again, not 60, and I believe that this goes for a lot of people around here who like to listen to quality music.
Moreover, these are projects that haven't been in Greece before (apart from Juno Reactor in this example) and there are a lot of people who would love to see them.
So, don't stick again to the same thing about full-on because this is not true.
Full-on is for the masses the way it has turned out to be, but you know what? There are also other people that would like to listen to something different no matter the price if they had the chance.
Most people that go to parties listen to full-on. Most people that don't go to parties don't listen to full-on or at least the same names that keep coming in Athens. This doesn't mean that they wouldn't be going to a different party if there was one.
And believe me, these people are many more than what you think they are...
As for the risk, I can understand your considerations and thoughts as a promoter and they are quite logical because I have been in your shoes in the past, but you don't really need balls as you say to do what you are saying, you just need good promotion although we are talking about names that would bring people into parties by themselves, and this is a fact, believe me...
After all, all that we talk about here is a change in the Athenian scene. Well, what about it?

Lux nobody disaggrees that acts like Juno Reactor and Sphongle are of superior quality than the rest of the psy trance artists.
I have only seen live perfomances of Sphongle and Juno Reactor on DVD but never a real live concert face to face.Just like i told you before me and you and Raziel can afford and are willing to pay even 100 euros but not everyone can afford this kind of money you know.I mean you think that 500 people can pay 100 euros for example for such an event?Sorry but i doubt so.
Many people would like to listen to something different but ALWAYS under a logic price,everything more than 50 euros is not considered a logic price if you ask me.
When you need something like 900-1000 tickets of 40 euros to break even on such an event (or even to make a small profit lets say) then you need a lot of balls to make such an investment.What if you organise the event,promote it good and arrange everything in a perfect way but in the end only 500 people turn up and you end up loosing something like 15.000 euros?What will happen then?I will tell you what it will happen,you and Raziel will come into this forum and say how amazing this event was and how stupid the Athenian crowd is by not supporting such an event BUT THE MAIN THING is that the promoter will be missing A LOT OF MONEY and thats actually the main point of the whole story.
Hope you understand what i mean.

Of course I understand what you mean Detox. At the end of the day we are talking about the promoter's pocket (in this case your pocket), but as I said in my previous post I've been in your shoes and it prooved to be otherwise.
You'll be surprised at how many people may turn up...
But then again, money makes the world go round.

Lux the problem is not my pocket but every promoters pocket.
I mean why should someone organise a high risk party and end up loosing money?In order to have fun at the party?Sorry but nobody is so rich in this place in order to think and act like this.
In any case i hope in the near future the scene in Athens will improve so that this subject will come on the table.
P.S The magic word behind the whole concept is the word SPONSOR hehe

As for the Sponsors you say, yes this is the magic word, and as I am sure you have understood so far as a promoter, everything has to do with public relations.

hey promoters....why don't you unite?
3 promoters together...less profit for each one if the party goes well but less expenses if the party goes wrong.
I think that many people prefer stuff like shpongle,infinity project,ott than full on.

it would be nice to have such concerts in our country.I remember 2 years ago when sphongle appeared in Athens, the ticket was 35 or 40euros..+soda was full!!!
So i agree about getting united the promos so as to have good appearances...They should have a profit for sure.... |

This method of promoters uniting in order to "go for a big one" is common practice abroad.
This is Greece though and things are a bit different...
With the exception of the last two Samothraki festivals promoters here tend to fuck each other up.

Raziel we cant talk for united promoters AT THIS MOMENT in Athens cause like i said before the scene here is just trying to reborn from its ashes
Mahabarata when exactly did Shpongle played LIVE in Athens?Maybe you mean a Hallucinogen or Raja Ram live perfomance where a promoter putted the word Shpongle next to their name?
