I agree this is becoming a huge problem here in the forum, among other problems that seem to infest us lately. Im glad this has been brought up and I hope ppl will read this thread and understand where it came from.
I also agree that without a certain amount of humor, inoffensive humor, I might add, this forum would be boring as Beer Sheva in the winter (or any other time of year  Sorry MikeA  ). Just read your posts again before you post them and think again if it might hurt some ppl.

Eddo, trance is anarchy movement. since we choose what is ok and what is not, without any connection to local and international law. we choose that drugs is ok but law dont think so, we choose is ok burn nature fields and think we are the mamonth hunters, but law think different.
its one of the points where from this thread came, we as community mght be very different and come from other the globe, but we all truly one since no matter if that hippie crap or mature anarchism, its all mean we a bit anti-social product of capitalism.
but here its became just a joke. to see all us speaking seriously (super seriously, too seriously) abotu things that might be only funny or they are not supposed to be at all, becoze no other way to compromise with human ersonality and its anti-social behave but a fuck-it-all behave and a big big laugh.
if we will stop it, we will turn to another outsider community (or may be we are ??) that know only one thing - bitch about hard life and all this, u know.
so, or we make our lifes and future looks like we wanna it will be or we just skip the idea and speaking this boring talks about psychedelic hi-hats.
i say, if trance crowd loose the laugh and smile, it will not worth a ice cream at siney tel aviv street in the middle of the august.

In our case we are talking about definition 2a, and I have to disagree with you Zombi. Trance ppl, as I see them, are not anarchists in that sense. They do not deny the authority or establishment, but only think it is wrong.
Check the Alcoholic Ohmboy section, how many soldiers do you have there? How many students ? Decent working ppl? Those ppl can't be called anarchists!!! They don't fit the definition.
We just see life differently, thinking it can and will be better. Bending a few rules, making a few mistakes, but still optimistics.
This is way  for the original subject.

sorry karnaf, but for a anarchist there is more than a dictinory definition.
there is two kinds of anarchists (according to my university prof. was it durkaym ??) - that kind that act against law and that kind that choose what part of law fit to its own view and what not.
so we are, belive me.
those who loyal to local goverment only in reason to get from it a goodies, but when its come to point where u have to make a choose, we make our choose - fuck law.

I think some ppl here are getting too arrogant or offensive towards newer users, or more inexperienced users.
I think that some users here misbehave and patronize others, but since most of them are in general a contributing part of this forum, they are being allowed to do that freely.
I think this thread brought up a very important issue and should be relevant to us all.
Humor is good, but not on others expense.

i dont think that at all, becoze alot of thread owners laugh with me and speak at PM about other funny things.
this is realy rare that somebody got hurt, and when its happen we are human enough to make clear, nothing personal, just not-so-good joke.
and its have nothing with older-newer users, since alot of prety fresh users fooling around and make me/us/U smile. nothing with your experience here.
but yes, im realy now out of this attidute and this conversation, its toooo way serious for my childish and stupid brain.

1. Humor is good, I laugh and smile most of my life, even more since I started trancing.
2. You can laugh with people, you don't have to laugh on their expence. I Always try to check what would I feel on the other side, and even more what would a person who sees the world different would think. Not everyone is like me, most ppl are more sensitive.

Wow, i think this thread got way too deep. Do you really want to make this place as boring as beer-sheva in the winter ?? , i really really doubt it anyone intended to hurt anyone. take things in proportions - it's a forum. due to the "digital shdows of the net" , all of us feel a bit more free then when the face real ppl. and it can cause harder sarcasm and things like that. but i really think (and correct me if i'm wrong) that nobody logs on to make ppl feel stupid.
some of us do tend to respond a bit more emotionally, but it has nothing to do with patronizing any1, or anything of this sort.
Just flow with it.
by the way, i have'nt been around much lately, what are these problems everybody talks about???

shahar- you right in each word that you wrote, i totally agree with you, and even i never saw you in my life (although maby i saw you anf didn't know that it was you), i feel very close to you in my way of thinking.
karnaf- i agree with you also, the definition of anarchy isn't fit to us.
zombie- i must say that i can agree with a little bit from what your saying, i totally disagree with the most.

well, so im realy sorry and ask to forgive me everyone who been hurted by me (if there is some (??)). i thought about it for a day now and still cant belive someone been hurted by fooling answers and jokes, but if it been done - im realy sorry.
its hard to me to belive there is somebody can be hurt of joke. for example i think that anybody fooling around in real life not make other been hurt, but a smile. when i talk here in forum i fell like im talking to friends infront of me, and for a truth i never thought that friends jokes and fooling hurt ppl, but u decided its hurt (btw, nobody said "iv been hurt, its just u opened thread speaking about others, do u advocate ??"), so i promise never ever more use a humor/stupid answer/fooling/joke, and i also ask the others who did it also stop fooling around and answer stupid becoze somebody think its may hurt somebody else. i even ask for collective forgivness and hope for your understanding. its sure better if there is option to hurt somebody, even if its 0.001 % not to take a risk.
seems i just cant get that there is REALY different ppl than me out there, i somehow live with this stupid attidute, what is good for u, good for others also. i hope my real friends will never like ppl that been hurted of stupid answers, coze i will kill myself then, or will need cut my tongue.
i understand if we were using a bad languege against new members and stuff like that, at least karnaf/shahar and logic mind that how u show it, but its not true, nobody never been violent or something, but seems for u every joke is a reason to be hurted, and im sorry for all of us we didnt knew it. if u think stupid answer to not so smart question that make ppl smile (and i KNOW it did, coze i realy got alot of pms about it) is a bad thing, so i have to agree with u, since i have no other option.
i still hardly believe that anybody felt uncomfort about mine or other stupid fooling childish answers, and will try and speak seriously only, too bad that it will happen very rare i guess, just becoze when u not control the quality, u get a quantity, and im sure u allready know me enough, its not me, this mass's culture lover.
im expecting now that everybody who fooled around will come here and ask SORRY and even send some PM's to memebers to their threads answers been sent.
and i also ask the ADMINS to delete mine thread "when u see a girl in a party", becoze this thread been opened to contrast the rasist (imo) thread "when u see a shimon in a party". its a IRONIC thread, not meaning nothing but may be to show im against rasism and i dont want to see ppl label others like a animals. so, delete it please.

Shahr told me once that when the team first founded this community they wanted its "atmosphere" to be like the atmosphere at a trance party.
At a trance party (or any other gatherins) you may joke at/with someone if that certain someone is your friend. You won't say something which could be consider offensive to a "newbie" that just arrived.
I think this principle should be implemented here too: Don't make jokes which could be considered offensive unless you're sure that the other side won't get hurt.
So let's make this the first unwritten rule in the guidelines, OK? |

about "atmosphere like in trance party" - exactly, thats why me and some others like fooling around. i will never go anymore to trance party if ppl there will speak seriously about their psychedelic hi hats and best top albums during using dry lang and staying allways very very serious.
please, dont see me as a pissed of or blame somebody or something. im sure nobody of u that i know personaly will not be hurt when i will fooling around u at next time i see ya face to face. i can understand why do u think jokes is not so good thing for a big international forum. i respect and love u.

i have nothing against humor, i also think it's great to laugh and to tell jokes.
in a party or in any gathering, when you see the people face to face you can be funny and tell jokes and it's cool and fun to be with those kind of people (zombie cocktail).
when you're posting in the forum you need to remember that the people can't see you, they only can read what you are writting,
they can missunderstand your meaning.
