after months of searching for something up here in colorado, i am coming to a conclusion that there is just no trance outdoor scene... this surprises me - many mountains and close to touching the clouds... throwing a suggestion out there: any persons living in (or near) this state who's got CD's and something to add to a sound system, lets get together and utilize one of these hills. one would think the settings are ideal - lets talk

Great idea~

Colorado is absolutely gorgeous...

Maybe next time I'm visiting family in Loveland and Ft. Collins something fun will happen.

Good luck!

i've been to over a hundred outdoor parties in Colorado in the 8 years i've lived here. you just gotta know where they are..

anyways, we have a couple of professional sound systems and several kick-ass DJs, and are planning several events this summer, though they won't be very large or even public. pencil in July 7th and Sept. 15th on your calendar and PM or email me for more info.

or you could throw your own, might want to check beforehand, since most 'obvious' spots are not really usable anymore these days due to the massive overpopulation of the area in the recent years. even for very small parties it's been hard to find proper land, unless you just want to blast music out of your car.

cheers

I feel you, I was so bummed when they announced the AUM Festival is being held in Arkansas. Didn't see that one coming...

Dimitry, if you become aware of any parties, please try to post them on here if possible. My girl is coming from japan and I want to show her a USA psy party outdoor stylee. we're always willing to make the drive up from NM for a stomp session.

There are psy or psy-inclusive parties in the Denver/Boulder area nearly every weekend, we've had a pretty active scene here for a while. Crestone also has small events about once a month, they're done by some of our crew.

The party on 7/7/7 is a private invite event, and the organizer asked me specifically not to post it anywhere, so if you want information, drop me an email. It's going to be outdoors in south-central Colorado not far from the Sand Dunes, though the location is not 100% final.

and i actually used to post Colorado parties on here, but nobody ever shows up from other states because we're so isolated - we've had some NM folks but usually it's only Chevy and crew who are Taos-based old-skool psy DJs, and they don't read forums, i doubt most of them even have electricity, lol. So I got tired of posting events that nobody really cares about.

but I'll start posting them again since there seems to be some interest..

great news... summer seems filled with excitement - the AUM fest has the makings of a memorous roadtripper... very keen though to do some of the smaller stuff closer to home - so anyone looking for extra numbers, please PM me... PS thanks for the motivating and very quick replies...

AUM is in Arkansas, nowhere near Colorado

Dimitry, if you could post whatever mid to large size public parties in CO that you become aware of, I would be very appreciative

i heard about something called Dreamtime, is this a psy event?
I plan on making it up to CO several times this summer, I've been really disappointed with New Mexico but I remain optimistic about the summer. hope to meet some of you peeps in the warm weather!

no Dreamtime is not a psy event. it's a patchouli event.. and an expensive one at that.

there's some talk of having an electronic stage there this year though, it would have psytrance on Friday and breaks on Sat.

btw Arkansas isn't that far from CO, only about 10 hours drive.           ..it's just another party..

Ha! Just happened on the post! Thanks Dimitry for picking up the slack!
Yes, indeed, Colorado is very alive! As always, it's a matter of checking the n. american posting, which dimitry keeps up with the upmost diligence! Bookmark the Onetribe website for event updates!
Many of the Colorado crew will be in attendance at both the Gaian-Mind fest. and the A.U.M. fest.
