Tech Safari is proud to present the long-awaited return to Montreal of the French artist, Talamasca. Cédric Dassulle, a.k.a, DJ Lestat is a pioneer of the French psy trance scene and is preparing a fifth album on his own label, Mind Control Records, founded in Paris for more than one year now. Since his last performance in Montreal, Talamasca has completed 2 albums as well as several pieces on labels like Spun Records, Tip World, Crystal Matrix and 3D Vision. Lestat has also realized collaborations with artists Deedrah, DJ Dimitri, Eskimo, GMS, Silicon Sound, Nomad and Absolum. At sunrise, Talamasca will present his latest creations in addition to the well-known piece “A french Man in Capetown”. His performance will make us to discover a unique and incomparable energy, ideal for outdoor events.

6 years after his first appearance at Eclipse, Tech Safari is proud to announce the return of Dino Psaras, alias Cydonia. He’s back in Montreal to present his new live act in and dance floor album. This veteran and pioneer of the underground trance movement of the 90’s, discovered psychedelic trance in India and his roots go back to the early days of the London and Brighton acid house scene. Soon after he met Youth and became the first dragonfly label DJ, Dino founded A Concept in Dance (ACID), acclaimed as one of the first trance clubs in London. His involvement in the first days of the trance scene include collaborations with Martin Freeland (Men with No Name), Ben Watkins (Juno Reactor), Joti Sidhu, Simon Posford and X-Dream.
Since the release of his first solo album on Oktava Records, Dino has been working on a new remarkable album as well and collaborating with several artists such as the Antidote, Deedrah, Joti Sidhu and GMS. For Eclipse 2005, prepare to listen to the new live act of one the pioneers of the psy trance scene.

The Delta is back for the fifth edition of Eclipse and will present a new live set that will make the dance floor go off. Ever since Marcus (X-Dream), Arne and Wayan (Spirallianz) met 10 years ago, their mission has not yet changed: transgress musical conventions and the limitations of sound. The German formation has now refined their production technique by incorporating innovative technologies, which now provides them with an impeccable sound, evolving from full-on industrial techno to groovy tech-trance.
While musical boundaries practically no longer exist and diverse styles merge, the trio thrives on diversity. Their style emerges from several musical currents that have marked the last decade. Delta’s first album, Scizoeffective, came out in 1999 and the track As a child I could walk on the ceiling became an instant success around the world.
2002 marked the return of the acclaimed trio on the international scene. Send in, send back revealed a new and ambitious musical direction. Associating elements from classical music and researched sonorities, The Delta enabled a larger public to appreciate their music but stayed true to their typical dark atmospheres.
If the members of The Delta are known internationally, it’s also due to their quadraphonic live set. They remain pioneers of the electronic scene and continue to thrive. They will present their new tracks Saturday night.

Since their first appearances in June 2000 presenting their debut album Blast Food, Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe have created Spiralianz and Midimiliz, two acts that play an active part throughout the trance elite. Their immense talent enabled them to perform their live act more than 150 times around the world.
In spite of their young age, they have both accumulated more than 10 years of experience as composers and djs, each of them participating actively in the psytrance movement. Their incredible technical skills, acclaimed by some of the biggest trance artists, were demonstrated through two Spirallianz albums (Blast Food, 2000 and Stereopark, 2003) as well as two Midimiliz albums (Antistat, 2001 and Passages, 2002). The German duo defines itself by a clear and persistent sonority that throws listeners into a hypnotic state.
Their presence at Eclipse 2005 will be an occasion for the duo to present their new album No-Standards, that came out in May on Gravity Plus. Their album is true to their psytrance and techno-trance roots but also explores the electro genre.

Vincent, a young Parisian music producer, has been composing "heavy" and powerful electronic sounds since 2001 with his first solo project Tetraktys. He works with well-filtered loops and backward waves, all skillfully connected to solid rhythms. His music conveys a powerful atmosphere full of emotion, sometimes scary, with a touch of symphony. These days, he has extended his playground and produced more melodic and housy tracks. In order to satisfy this new sound, he has created Motion, a progressive tech house project. From experimental underground to more melodic and polyrhythmic sound, Vincent allows his listeners to discover a complete panel of musical colors.
Vincent, un jeune stylicien parisien, compose de la musique électronique intense et des sons puissants depuis 2001 avec son premier project solo Tetraktys qui regroupe des sonorités plus techtrance et psychédéliques . Il travaille avec des ‘loops’ et des vagues inverses, tous habilement assemblé à des rythmes solides. Sa musique transmet une atmosphère intense, remplie d’émotion, parfois inquiétante, avec une touche de symphonie. Ces jours-ci, il a agrandi son terrain de jeu et produit des pièces plus mélodiques et « housy ». Pour en arriver à ce nouveau son, il a créé Motion, un projet de techno house progressif. D’un son underground expérimental à un son plus polyrythmique, Vincent permet ses auditeurs de découvrir une variété de couleurs musicales. Pour la première fois au Québec, Vincent sera de la fête pour nous faire découvrir une nouvelle expérience avec un mix de ses deux projets Tetraktys et Motion. Il sera à découvrir!

Adham Shaikh is a composer, producer, sound designer and a world fusion dj. Adham has worked on a variety of projects, most recently including music in the Imax film "Sacred Planet" (2004), contributed music to the powerful moving CBC documentary "Suzuki Speaks" by Tony Papa, presented a CBC ZED TV live musical performance with Dubsoniq and created music in the Quebec film "Les moutons de Jacob" premiering at Cannes Film Festival (May 2004).
One of his latest releases, "Fusion", features some exceptional musical contributions from Catherine Potter and Deobrat Mishra, vocalist Gemma Luna, slovakian fuijarist Miroslav Doval. He has also been working with MELLISA of the WASSABI COLLECTIVE and on sound contributions from ISHQ and FREEWORM.
As a world fusion dj and producer, Adham blends sounds and styles from all around the world, ranging from electro, to breaks, dub, psychedelic trance, downtempo, funk, bhangra, latin, afrobeat, to his original compositions. His renowned sets bridge the gap between organic and electronic.

I'll be there! I saw Tetraktys at the Om Festival and thought he was pretty decent!
And of course the Delta is right up there as well, one of my favourite current acts.
This is gonna be one amazing festival. Too bad it cuts into Vans Warped Tour 
I'll just have to leave the festival and go to the punk show, and come back again lol |
