I recently discovered Saafi Brothers first album "Mystic cigarettes" and realized there might be more classical psybient albums that I am not aware of.
The obvious ones being:

Mystery Of The Yeti - The Mystery of the Yeti

The Infinity Project - Mystical experiences

Celtic Cross - Hicksville

Saafi Brothers ‎– Mystic Cigarettes

Shpongle - Are You Shpongled?

Makyo ‎– Vismaya

Padmasana ‎– Padmasana

Indigo Egg ‎– Ixland

Ochi Brothers ‎– Ochi Brothers

Are there any more like these?

Celtic Cross was definetly ahead of time. It sill is better than most of nowadays ambient music imo. One of the very few electronic music albums that I call timeless.
I'm not a worshipper of Simon Posford but this longplay is really a great work where he has done an excellent contribution to it.
I bought it when it came out somewhere in the mid ninetees. Heard it in and out and it sill is special. Nothing is simillar as this movie. Not that usual cute cream that's a real deep insight.

Long time I heard no saafi brothers I remember that nice shanti tribal touch in it. the first yetis etc was also nice.          https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

Mystic Cigarettes was the soundtrack at Getafix club in Cape Town in the late 90's.

What turned me on was this:

Padmasana have the sequel coming out hopefully next month. Makyo released a great 40+ minute EP last year.

Jairamji's album on Dakini was pretty awesome.

The Eclipse compilations on Flying Rhino & Twisted, as well as the first Shpongle.

Also on Spirit Zone the Global Psychedlic Chillout series was amazing, as well as the most the second CDs on Goobal Psychedlic Trance which were all psybient/psydub.           Cuntus Maximus.

I know. I'm really looking forward to it. Just hope it's as hypnotic as the old stuff.

No suggestions? Could it really be that there are no more?
I'm not looking for compilations. I'm looking for classical psybient albums (they were produced in the 90s) similar to the ones I listed, by artists that I'm not aware of.

in the 90s there were no such term as psyambient......

that's just a term created by the later psytrance scene if not even by sharing sides. Later - much later than in the ninetees - people really believed much slower psytrance is psyambient and produced this kind of slow music under this term you're mentioning.
Lots of this so called psybient albums are just slower psytrance albmus. The music from the 90s that you are looking for is called just ambient. IMO all the later albums , the psyambient albums are almost all weak, indeed here cheesy really fits. They aren't that much original as the real ambient albums. Maybe try Future Sound Of London you could trip just from listening to it.           https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

Psybient is also called "psydub", "psychill" and "ambient goa" (probably the most fitting in this case, since it's the 90s sound I'm after).

Ambient is mostly beatless. It would take forever to find what I'm looking for by searching through all that is called ambient.

Yes, the later albums (post 90s) are weak. They have a different sound that is more like slow psytrance.

you are right, that ambient is also much larger than the psytrance ambient people use word psybient for and you can find ambient even in the metal scene apart others.
But in the 90s this term psybient never has existed. It was much later that web communities exchanged this term to create more subgenres and all that hype. At that times all theat great albums were created unter the genre name ambient.
All this albums you have mentioned are ambient albums. 94 .. celtic corss.. I think the first time I saw in Internet (not on a physical release) the term psyambient must have been 2004 or something like that.

The same goes with psy dub or psy chill nice names and that's ok when guys that love dub intergrate their influences into thier ambient creations calling it psy dub .. though dub is usually much more psy from the spirit IMO and often you can find technicaly same tunes from dub artists that have nothing in common with the psytrance scene. However I know what you mean bro and you surely can find a lot of great sounds.
