I heard one of these tracks, I really liked it, but I dont know if it would go over well with me at a party           G+ - Army Collective - Kontakt Recordings

Interesting that this had to come up...well a couple of days ago my friend bumped acrosss a beethoven cd and decided to purchase it.....and he came over..and we thot why dont we give it a listen..and well it was quite delightful....its got ups and downs and everything else in the middle...

so we thot what the hell why dont we make a complete set with tracks playing and mix it with classical music....so we ended up making a set with some nice morning music and mixed it along with some beethoven on the backgorund...sometimes on the foreground...well i do think its turned out pretty decent coz the same day we guys went for a hike and sat in the middle of nature and heard the whole set and ....well it was quite delightful...

in case you do want the set let me know will go ahead and e-mail it across...well planning to set up a link for it..but tooo lazy to do that...will prolly do it soon and it will be up on the new tracks section...

well honestly classical with psy is not very dancable but ooh yea it sure is glorious to listen to.

What about tracks that use the same structures as a classical (or other symphonic) piece, but played with psytrance synths and samples? Or at least a good and not cliched piece could be sampled (as in NOT Bethovens 5th). Id love to hear an electronic remix of Rite of Spring or maybe some Debussey (spelling?) if someone could find a way to make it work.
For me just taking some mediocre orchestral music and mixing it in with trance is not enough (which is what I think of Misted Muppets use of classical samples)

I would LOVE to listen a remix of Canon in D Mayor by Johann Pachebel (1653 - 1706). He was one of the great composers of the baroque period. Pachebel was a German organist as well as a composer.

It would be great that it be remixed by a minimal artist like Insane Creation, or something very Klein Aber Doctor style.           See you on the Trancefloor!!

I think that most good minimal(ie shiva chandra) is similar to the minimalist movement in concert music led by philip glass, brian eno, steve reich, and terry riley with its subtle changes in rhymth and tone color and large over arching structures, meticulous in design. It would be interesting to see these guys working with a posytrance artist especially considering that many of them write electronic music already. I think the dialectic clash of worlds and sensibilities and mutual talent would yield something amazing.           ein chadash tachat hashemesh. there is nothing new under the sun. --kohelet.
