I would like to know if you have ever heard old classic trance tracks (not remixes) at partys.
I've never heard, since all DJs throw fresh (well some are not so fresh) tracks in theyr sets.
What I'm curious about is if you would like to ear, once in a while, tracks like Johann Bley's Stranded, Delta's As a child..., Juno Reactor's Swamp thing, and stuff like that.
Do you feel it could work?
Do you feel newcomers would like it, since this songs are diferent from those of Skazi, GMS, Alien Project, etc.
Or do you like to ear only new stuff at partys?
Thanx!

I like to hear some good old tracks in parties. I already heard Astral's "Let there be light" and The Delta's "As a child I could walk on the ceiling".
But what I wanna hear is Infected's "Bust a move". I would became a monster!!!

i think its just stupid not to play any old stuff, if the soundquality and the track itself still are good...i like to play old stuff in my sets quite often, especially old koxbox, orichalcum and stuff like this.

surely you can play old trx in your sets, the main thing is just that it brings still the crowd on fire!!

best old track I've heard on a party is 'children of paradise - alien nation part 3'!!! it pushed me really into another dimension!

old tracks can still rock the party... in the competitive dj market everyone is racing over each other to get the newest unreleased, but wasnt the point to play music people hadn't heard? well for many people, the old stuff is just as new, and something completely different... i've been playing mostly old school sets for a while now and they're always a lot more fun. and there are SO many unknown tracks from the past still... just gotta dig and you'll find gems!

here in Zagreb there is a really commercial trance party where the organisers only want money and we never get any good guests and there are a few tracks that are know to be the "hits" of this party...those are:

Johann Blay - Stranded(Delta Rmx)
Miranda - Real Rush
and
Mory Kante - Yeke Yeke

there are lots more of such tracks but I can't remeber them now since I don't go there...they aren't all that bad but the thing is that they play them every single time and when they do that's the highlight of the party and it makes me soooo sick           DJ Dovla | Interchill Records, Flow Records

actually .... there are some old tracks that after listening to them i can't listen to the modern stuff even if i liked it ... the emotions , the stories are hardly present now ... need some retro party ...           Dance is my Trance

The old tracks are sooooooo nostalgic, that a party would
nt be complete without them, Like if i see astral projection playing, without Let There Be light and People can fly, it would'nt be the same.
Old tracks are vital for the flame... Can't do without them.

here sometimes at outdoor parties they play old tracks in the morning. maybe at 8 o clock or later. it's quite nice to hear tracks from the classical mushroom album, hallucinogen oder pleiadians. for me they could play that stuff the whole party!!           Something 'bout those little pills - Unreal the thrills they yield - Until they kill a million brain cells - I'm going down to... I love oldschool sets. When done right, the energies are something special... as well as the nostalgic factor. Of course, I've heard many DJs include older tracks (pre-1999) tracks in their sets. They still work well, it's a matter of making them an integral part of the set.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

I think classic should stay at home for fun.
or at humor parties and other shit.

Unless it something really goog and not boring that made very very VERY VERY very very Verrrrrry very vvvvvery perfect!

trance is not developed enough IMO, so there is no really classics.

infected could be the first , but their stuffs get boredom very fast so people can't listen to their tracks for long time.

Juan have got some good classic tune , but his sound quality is too different compare nowadays quality, so DJs stoped play it since it not fitting their sets.

track should kick asses in the air all over and be very quality with some insane goa lines involved , then it could be a real classic for long time!
till then , classics out !

what if everyone of us will think positive about peace ?

DJs can fly!
