Mad props to bastardsamadhi for referencing trackers and mods (oldschool!).
Trancephonic_Kronik -- Chiptunes stuff is fun, you're not alone in your appreciation. For an interesting fusion, check out Aavepyörä. Kind of a blend of chiptunes, psytrance, tracker music, suomi, and everything in between. He actually produces on tracker software on a modded GP32 when he's on the road.

^^^ Possibly the best video ever? I'll never be the same.

Check out this free chiptune/8bit site http://8bitcollective.com/ I suggest searching for minusbaby, IAYD, Bit Shifter, Glomag, and Nullsleep.

I found some really good comps made stricly from nintendo. They are called Famicompo Mini. Famicom was the japanese name for nintendo. Each one has alot of tracks. The only thing is that you need a winamp plugin called chipamp which is located here http://www.chipamp.org/ The reason you need this is because the tracks are in nintendo format. I highly recommend these. They are located here http://midr2.under.jp/compo/top.html Just hit cancle or no when it askes to install languages.
