Mad props to bastardsamadhi for referencing trackers and mods (oldschool!).

Trancephonic_Kronik -- Chiptunes stuff is fun, you're not alone in your appreciation. For an interesting fusion, check out Aavepyörä. Kind of a blend of chiptunes, psytrance, tracker music, suomi, and everything in between. He actually produces on tracker software on a modded GP32 when he's on the road.

Actually he released his last album in tracker format, nice.

Aavepyörä is pretty cool thanx. I like how that album comes with the tracker. cool shit. that c64 guy is cool too. c64 is a cool system. I was checking out stuff earlier about the amiga 500. It looks awesome. I'm gonna find one somewhere. when I get the cash. awesome old games plus its an old skool 80's cpu and i think there is music software for it.

wow I really like that c64 messiah dood. Hes got this other breakdance video thats fucken tight. It totally reminds me of 2 live crew. infact i think that first sample is from 2 live crew. old skool booty bump music. And I just realized its a remix of an old atari game. i'm such a nerd.

Check this shit out.

So as luck would have it, I met these two guys at a bar in ft. green who make chiptunes here in nyc. One is from sweden. I can't remember they're artist names which sux but they told me about these partys that go down all the time at this place the tank. If anyone's interested go to http://www.pulsewavenyc.com I just found this out the other day so I have not gone to one. It looks good tho. They have some videos.

Check out this free chiptune/8bit site http://8bitcollective.com/ I suggest searching for minusbaby, IAYD, Bit Shifter, Glomag, and Nullsleep.

I found some really good comps made stricly from nintendo. They are called Famicompo Mini. Famicom was the japanese name for nintendo. Each one has alot of tracks. The only thing is that you need a winamp plugin called chipamp which is located here http://www.chipamp.org/ The reason you need this is because the tracks are in nintendo format. I highly recommend these. They are located here http://midr2.under.jp/compo/top.html Just hit cancle or no when it askes to install languages.
