Good evening mates,

I'm planning to buy some ambient cd's but I dont know exactly what to buy. I adore the chill out, but never had time and money to research and buy some albums. I dont even know much about artists and projects.

Can you help me? Indicate which albums are "a must"... Well, I have some minimal trance like Shiva Chandra - Auricular, I have Shpongle... But nothing really ambient.

I possible also indicate some artists that play didjeridu and mix it with this music.

Sorry if this topic is brought up again...

Thanks in advance!           cna't find it

Hello shroOmy ShrOM !

If U like didgeridoo then U should try Jess M album "Didgedelica" on Shiva Space Technology.

After that there are a lot of tracks spreaded here and there on albums & comps... WaterJuice have some great stuff with didgeeee for exemple.

About other Chill-Out stuff, watch out for Taruna's "World Fusion 2" (SST also), the whole Liquid Sound Design work (DragonFly Sublabel), InterChill with their fresh released "Talisman" compilation. Traveller (forum member) would turn mad if Twisted Chilled Crew "BackroOm Beats" is not quoted here, they have superb releases too.

BTW there is so much stuff to listen to.... It's very exciting but also somehow 'frustrating' 'cause of course it's not easy to know everything and buy.

GoOd luck in your Chilling Quest !

for Ambient (not psy-chill) i will recomend u a Patchwork albums (he have 4 on Spirit Zone, all realy good) that combine3 intelligent music with just relax feeling.
or go to Ambient Pop by Kompakt records that is super ambient music, very deep soundscapes..           Believe your soul !

Search this section, there are a lot of of reviews that can help you choose.

To start with the more trancey chill releases, which might be easier for you to connect to, I would recommend:

For didj- go for Jess M, and also try looking for Abracadabra.

For psychedelic downtempo: check twisted releases, Shulman & Life is... compilation from Hommega.

For trancey ambient you must check Ultimea releases. CBL or Solar Fields albums & their last compilation would be a good start.

For more loungy homey stuff check the Chillosophy series from Digital Structures.

For diverse quality stuff check out any release by Interchill from Canada.

For the best ethnic ambient check releases by Makyo & his Dakini label.

Good luck!           ---------------------------------------------

YEs!

Ultimae is a wicked chill label!
Releasing both amazing artist and compilations albums..check out their website. (long samples of all cds)

Dakini label is also top quality, again here both artist and compilation albums
V/A Skydancing series (vol 1,2 and now soon 3)
Artist albums: Makyo: yakshini or Ishq: Orchid

And also LSD and Interchill labels!
Both very regular, releasing varied easy colour-full music...

Hey, it's me again!

Thank you so much KakoO, Zombi, Odd, cybergal, shahar and unno.

You have really changed my life! Not jokin...

In the past 3 years I'd never forgotten these tunes, have them in my heart.

Iddo recommended me KakoO's chill mix too and I found it precious!

Now, in the mean time, are there any Must-Have Albums I need to look for? Again, accept the guarantees of my highest esteem and consideration.

Peace!

Well, I would say that Phutureprimitive's 'Subconcious' is a must-have album, also the Liquid Records compilation 'Soul Vibration'.

Enjoy            - - It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice... - -

Hey shroOmy ShrOM

You're most most most welcome, I'm happy you digged some of our tips, and thanks for these words, hey, you're making my day, but hmm I have two mixes online, the Nighttime warm-up and the Need 4 Dub Underground, which one of them did you listen to ?

I'll put a new one soon, but I'll have to remove one of the previous.. Dunno which one yet hehe..

And finally about Must Have album hmm I'd tell Flexitones' "Joyrider" (Backroom Beats), Dreadzone's "Once Upon A Time" (Functional Recs), and Transglobal Underground's "Impossible Broadcasting" (Rykodisc) for three "different" possible directions..
