When I first tarted listening to goa trance, I used to get the chills on almost every single track I heard. Nowadays, It seems like the tracks are getting weaker. Or is it me that isnt as into the feeling as I used to be? Could it be due to a decline in drug useage over the past 2 years? However, some tracks still give me chills. Mainly the ones that always used to, and also alot of tracks from people that have been around for a while. Is it because of melody decrease in the music? Am I the only person who experiences this? I used to use Goa trance, I mean REAL GOA TRANCE as a spiritual tool, now I dont even get involved. I am still however... a die hard psy trance fan. I want the energy back. Where did the chills go?

Hmm..
Seems like most artist don't care about their music being psychedelic anymore.. all they care about is "strong kicks", "powerful basslines" and "top notch production".. they have forgotten the true essence of trance.. while creating trance they should IMHO focus on trying to create something psychedelic.. forget the borders between the genres, forget the formulas.. just focus on the "spirit of the track"

To be productive about it, I can recommend these for you:

HighPersonic Whomen album (13 Production)
BLT- God is Love (Hommega) (also try catching his live set- some amazing psychedelic unreleased ones)

I fully agree with you guys. It's all getting less and less psychedelic and more and more predictable... 
What's the point with strong basslines and hard pounding kicks if the track is plain boring?
I'm not saying that we shouldn't strive for 'top notch, clean production', but it seems that this has become more important than trying to push the frontiers and create something fresh, interesting and unpredictable...
I'd rather listen to tracks that dares to set new boundaries, and oppose the 'trend', and that not necessarily has a fully pofessional sound, than tracks made by formula...
Thank god there are still alot of brave souls out there who still try and take our beloved genre to new and unseen places...

I full agree !
I hate Atomic pulse ,astrix and the others on that style that kill psytrance to death becvause of no soul in their music NO PSY !!!!!!
I fu*cking hate their music!
they make it like another stupid genre like house/dance music or dance music ! no soul enough!
what if everyone of us will think positive about peace ?

Well, indeed goatrance and psytrance gives u the chills, but progressive / deep has it's adv., and see it as a sort of advance in music.
i personally much rather melodic goa trance...

man, house is a SOUL music, u may dont like it but to say its not have soul.. dunno..
to the thread point - after u expirience every kind of real psychedelic expirience u cant do it twice, same thing. repertuar is short (or not so long), u start look for new.
and again, its about how long u into this.
newcomers enjoy atomic pulse and gms alot, im kinda jelous them coze they can get IN by this simple and killer music.
as for me - atmos realy can somehow reach the deepest levels of fresh and not less spirtual diving.

how can u compare between GMS to atomic pulse !!!
GMS is the best on the ground and also have great melodies and lots of good touches!
and atomic is nothing compare to GMS ! face it ! GMS eat astrix and atomic pulse together!
and house music have no soul most of the time !
soul = something you can feel in your body and in your mind !
and house music in the dancefloor is nothing compare to psytrance !
I have been djing from time to time in house party and I stop because the crowd doesn't come because of the music , the crowd come because of girls and boys stuffs.
PS house /dance/mtv music styles are nothing but SEX music and nothing more (mostly) !

gms and atomic pulse DO suck.
ive also noticed that Shiva Space Force : Japan is more, lets say hard trance vs psy trance. Oo well.

I think the "soul" is not made by a track, its made by the Ždj-"set" and when the turntable-artist knows how to engage psychedelic feelings into his crowd everything is allright.
a non-killer-track can be a killertrack , it depends on how is it played - when it is played...
the artists out there have ideas behind the tracks they made...its not only dance or sex music .. people dont understand the main-idea behind because they havent listen to it in a dj stream in function with other tracks...

i am sorry but house REAL good house not progressive crap is music with warm fealing and like zombie said SOUL, its black music and i wouldn`t compare it 2 GMS or atomic pulse. maybe if trance artists would listen 2 real house and not the crap u people call house trance would have another dimention that it lacks.
and psydark_light all the labels on ur list is progressive british house which has nothign in common with the soul of chicago, thats not REAL house.
