so, what a party.. i hadn't been out for a month before this due to the general rex overkill sessions leaving me a little drained. But this put me right back there sharpish arrived at stratford at 10:30 or so and then chatted to kristian as he waved people in the general direction of the shuttle and we waited for one more of our party.. then whisked to venu on aforementioned bus and toddle inside to find a nice crowd and some nice music.. cracked open the first (of many, many..) beers as it was thrust into my hand without delay and we're off. great to see so many friends etc all having a good time.. and a good froum presence there as well..
now, i didn't think the first dj was so briliant i'm afraid, it was too much of a greatest hits set for that time in the night, but i was presently suprised by nix.. who really played damn well.. happy to hear tortured brain mate nice one then kristian played a typical quality set and the whole place is stomping.. really good energy going around... then dark soho take the stage.. maybe slightly sober? i dunno.. but they held it together (guys how did you do that ) and destroyed the place.. killer /killa/killia whatever you want to call it, there was some "dancefloor destruction" in evidence. interestingly, i thought this was cooler in the more intimate envronment of the eq than it was at th rex in june.. as rumz has said somewhere else.. it was the first mosh pit i've ever seen at a trance party. excellent.. shane played for the last hour and a half, and by this time i wasn't going to stop dancing and he wasn't going to let me really good stuff as always from the alchemy man.. that last crytal skulls tune.. woow!
anyway.. somehow i then made my way home... it was cold.. i didn't do anything productive yesterday

it was nice to meet homsy , a visitor from another part of our global forum.. and
rabbitalien.. next time we'll sort it my friend

right, i'm now sitting at work on monday morning, and i still have a slightly sketchy outlook.. too much beer i think!           >>love will tear us apart...<<

hehe the party had a superb vibe.... very friendly crowd.... first DJ was all over the place like Tom said... Nix was playing some very full-power night tunes south african style like Balojax rmx and similar. I thought he was excellent in fact. He finished with one of his own toons and it sounded quality to me, but it's easy to be biased by the atmosphere and big sound system....
Next treat was a solid set by Kristian, veering towards darkness in preparation for:

Dark Soho were very good and people were really enjoying it... I prefer their techy tunes which we had a few of, rather than guitar-heavy ones. A couple of tunes they played were the highlights of the evening for me. I was disappointed by the visuals: they should have been on a higher stage, with some lights. Instead there was a white spotlight statically on the crowd in front of them! ooops! I forgot to mention this at the time.....
The thing is they are quite a visual band who really enjoy playing live, and it was difficult to see them.

I thought Shane's set was the best Ive seen from him for ages... he is always good, but I thought he was playing some especially strong tunes on saturday. A great way to end the party.

Overall it was a real social one... kinda fuelled by alcohol for me and some other people....
plus some refreshing tea... Everyone was commenting on how nice it was to escape from the rex for a change! I am always a big fan of Chichime, and this was the best one Ive been to.... thanks!

refreshing tea...ha jon !? hehe...

well, i recover my self finally.

like tom said we got to the place around 11pm and the crowd was great, great vibes from them, and you could noticed that this is the crowd that understand in music, the first DJ i didnt like so much cus he played most of his set only Atomic pulse and Astrix.

but when Kristian got to the stage you could feel the dancefloor go mental, his mixing are great with very nice tunes.

at 4am dark soho got to the stage and gave a really powerfull set (i liked it more then the last show on Bristol, though) and the people went mental, and me of course dancing like crazy non stop.

then Shane gave Amazing set with great tunes and really hypnotic with great great mixing, shane you are a great DJ

so....all in all it was a great party with great vibe, also in the Chill-Out room they played very danceable chill music with great decoration.

The party was outstanding !

After a nice birthday party and a quick tour in camden i arrived to the club at 12:00 . As soon as was inside the club the incredible Velocity Engine by wizzy 'madness' hit me straight away !I couldnt stop dancing from tha moment it was like a super-welcome-boost!!!

Then Kristian hit the decks and it gave us some really nice set including one of all time favorite tracks the Electroencephalotomy (thats mispelled prob..) by tortured brain . The music continued on the same level and then the Dark Soho guys appeared on stage , ready to give a fucking amazing set ! Suddenly the party transformed like industrial-metal freaking atmosphere and the first basslines started from Viva Sarocom track hitted !!! amaazing!!!

Their program included tracks from their new album (except the 14th which was played by the first dj) .
They also icluded the Legendary Depth of Emotion , the fusion and the madness.. Favorite track in their live act was Combustion.. I totally freaked out!!!
Their performance was totaly live , with great movement in the stage , watching their sound and communicating several times with the crowd!

Then Shane Gobi appeared , and played in the beginning some nice pumping tunes but at that time i was on fire and i had to chill out a bit.. so i headed to the chilly room where i founded much better than it was 1,5 years ago. The music there it was nice progy deep house with lots of happy faces enjoying ...

Overall the party was killer , dark soho were even better than i expected and i believe that they are one the few groups around at the moment that have 100% LIVE performance..

To close my experience i would to add that the club had really crappy toilets which were not usable after 3 (you had to swim in order to reach them..lol)

maybe that was the only negative thing i encountered , but i can live with that..

Thanks to everybody that participate, organize in the party !

ps: tom i hope to see you next time man..
