just so you guys know, our section here has the most threads and the most discussion out of every "trance in the world" section... we actually have more threads started then everyone else: israel, india, portugal, brazil to name some powerhouses...

so to whoever says the psyscene in n.america is sleeping/dead/blahhhhh tell them they're talking out of their a$$e$!

we also have some serious threads and not just party info, that to me is much more interesting, to be able to have a discussion related to trance and not have it be in trance section, our own private debates

mad props to the US, Mexico and Canada!!!

That may be, but we still don't have parties in America like they do in India or Japan or Thailand..... The parties in Goa (Hilltop, Disco Valley) are just something else.....they can't be compared to the Tsunami parties or the Amazura ones in NY.

I'm not saying the US is totally shady tho, we have HUGE festivals like the Burning Man, but as far as psychedelic/Goa trance is concerned, I think America needs a kick in the ass to wake up!!!

BOOM!

Clever words Gadi...

I don't think our scene is small att all, even because we have parties almost every week in NYC, not as big as parties in India, Brazil, or Europe, even because that is almost impossible to have in our territory, but great acts come here, serious promoters and a bunch of people that are deeply involved with it.

I just invite anybody to come here to feel that our psyscene is more alive than never...

Cheers

yeah, i gotta say that things are really hottin up around here. esp in the NW. i think there are more awesome parties gettin planned for this summer than ever. all kinds of artists are going to burning man (rumor has it at least) too. i think things are finally gathering momentum so that we will soon have parties that people from anywhere in the scene will call 'world class'!!!
(btw-i think we do already but i'm imagining 'joe trancer' checking out a show here for the first time and comparing it to their own country's scene--as in my imagination joe trancer is like a european/asian/southafrican/australien/brazilian/israeli/antarcitan dude <grin>)

Gadi, I dont think you should point this out - since most of the threads on this section are started by you - But i have to agree with the fact that the America section has the most thought provoking posts, I have read the India and German sections quite a lot ( the india one more) and it always seems like the post on that section are not as interesting as the ones here and in the trance section. Plus i think america has great parties - Lord knows we in NYC are really pampered - for someone like me who likes to go to trance parties only once or twice a month - its good to have a make a choice like - should I go for the infected or logic or shanti party. Keep it up promoters of america and specially promoters of NYC - we all are very thankful for your existence.

Yea why do think that is that a place like germany and portugal and even Isreal doesnt have as much participation as the US.

probably because there are more parties in places like Israel and Germany, so people have less time to chat... because they are either partying, or recovering...

I've had good time in the NYC trance scene, and there can be some very cool parties... what I like about the scene is the family feel to it... many people know each other... and that makes fun parties... also people in the States tend to speak their views more... which creates good discussions.           www.facebook.com/DjJanux

I think there is a connection between the scene being small and non-commercial and the vibe being strong and pure. I know it's hard for a scene to survive when it's too small, but when it's too big it's not good eigther. It's a fine line we are walking...

Speaking from a SF point of view. We value the fact that our scene is realitivly small and underground. It means better vibes, better parties and less bullshit. San Francisco has a reputation amongst many of the worlds producers as this almost mythical shangri-la like scene. The energy that comes from the 200 or so regulars at our parties rivals the energy of 1000's at other places.
Just ask Neuromotor or Rastalliens or Dtek

the scene may be small...but it's tight...keeping things discrete and quiet is how we can have intense parties every week...and if you're gonna hit up a party in nyc...skip the commercial...go under the bridge...=O)

Peace Love and Happiness...
