A Chill out zone with a screen showing cartoons and films… what effect it would have in people’s mind? Which are the nicest ones to be shown?
???

There is a series called Masters of Russian Animation. I know of 4 volumes. The 4th volume worked very well at our last party. Pretty funny and original stuff.           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

Disney's "fantasia"... A;ice In Wonderland (especially the dissapearing chesire cat hehe)... I reckon alot of the older cartoons were much more trippy in their ideas and drawing than the 3D stuff we get today, not that 3D stuff is bad but nt that trippy...

Well since you asked about cartoons & films, I would say try 'Liquid Crystal Vision'; this is no cartoon, just an extremely consciousness expanding film focusing on all aspects of the psychedelic movement. I first saw it at a party in a North London church, and it sure captivated me ! !

Website is at http://www.liquidcrystalvision.com/

no offence intrees but if you want to maintain some semblance of originality don't play liquid c.v, as it has been done to absolute death, personally i didn't think it was that good in the 1st place...
check out: http://www.runwrake.com ...he did a lot of videos for the likes of future sounds of london and howie b...truly psychedelic, i couldn't believe it when i first saw his work, some years ago now, but it seemed like he had captured the true essence of tripping and successfully transferred it to a tv screen near you now! as with tripping though it is impossible to put it into words...the only way to understand what i am chatting about is by looking for yourself...
also what about macrocosmos, superb nature film shot with macro lenses over a long period of time...only problem being i quite often find psychedelics and insects don't mix that well...mmm
finally: pink floyd live at pompei is an awesome musical journey, again the only problem being that you have to have the sound on to enjoy it to it's full potential...

I have played several Bunuel films in the past and they have always been a success (not for all of course, hehe).
Since Randulon here mentioned Microcosmos, I will also suggest Le Peuple Migrateur, I think it is made by the same company and is about the migration of birds. Beautiful film. You will feel yourself soaring with the majestic creatures on the screen.           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

Depends really. At festivals I just love to carry myself to the chill out after a hard day work, sit for a while sippin' beer and smokin' ciggies. Then lie on my back for a while watchin' stars and shit. then curl up and fall asleep. It's always as great to wake up at some unknown time like WTF? I did this pretty much every night at boom 04, their chill out was super comfy.. a bit too cold weather.. nevertheless brilliant

At 1 day events I think it would be nice to have about anything playing at screens..
I bet many people would speak up the lines out loud if F&L @ Las Vegas was screening muted..          "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."
