Well the main reason is that the pritanis on the very last moment which was Friday morning asked some papers from the organisers and the owner of the venue were the party would take place which were impossible to acquire in just 24 hours,i mean so far everything was fine but on the very last moment he asked something that i guess he knew was impossible to acquire in such short time.
Maybe the sad events at Thesaloniki last week with the fights in the University and the serious injury of one student?Maybe the big fuss that Makis Triantafilopoulos did on Thursday night with the universities all around Greece?Who knows being a pritanis is a very responsible position and he had all the right to ask for these papers but if he had asked them from the beggining then it would be even better for all of us because the organisers would have time to prepare them and i wouldnt proceed with any bookings and promotion till everything was fine.
I am very sad that this event had to be cancelled and a big sorry from my side to the artists and to the people who were waiting for this great party,i did the best from my side to help the organisers to arrange all the details but time was not on our side this time,maybe next year who knows 
Anyway whoever goes to Patra this weekend have fun since there are many great parties and places to visit,me i will stay in Athens eating crepes

sad news . Seems that pritanis had set up a trap. Asking for papers the last day justifies this conclusion.

I am a student at the univercity of Patras.The things that you are saying Mr Detox have to sense!!
Parko tis Eirinis is an idepended company.It has got nothing to do with the univercity and most of all it doesn't need a license from the univercity to make an event!!!So If it belongs to the univercity why do you have a fee 30euros???Then it is forbidden
A lot of Events have happend there and you didn't need a license.
As i have been informed at the univercity and from the Parko tis Eirinis manager because i go often there,the reasons are others!!!!
I don't have any problem with you Detox but i don't like TO LIE TO THE PEOPLE that support this music!!!!!

Dear Nikos first of all welcome to the forum.
Secondly the information i gave above are the exact information that the organisers of this event (Subcode Crew) gave to me in the last two days,my job was not to organise this event but just booking the artists and some internet promotion.
So from my knowledge YES Parko Tis Eirinis is an independent business like you said therefore the 30 euro entrance,BUT you still need a permission from the University Authorities in order to host an event there,actually there is this part of the University named Gramatia Aksiopiisis Ktirion or something like that that offers this permission.You see the building there has a license to sell food,drinks and other stuff and not to host parties or other events so i guess you need the license from the University exactly for this purpose.
So the University send a paper to the owner of Parko Tis Eirinis saying that all is ok BUT you need to find some people from the University (students or teachers or political organisations) that will be responsible for whatever happens at this event,the organisers told me that it couldnt be an outsider who could sign this paper but it had to be someone from within the university or the owner of the place of Parko Tis Eirinis.Like you understand its not easy to find someone to sign such a paper just 24 hours before the party,specially when that someone had to be someone from inside the University and not just any person.Also keep in mind what happened in Thesaloniki last weekend when they hurt someone and burned and stole the place.
I am very interested though to hear the things that you know and your explanation for this cancelation.In any case though i dont see a logical explanation for some people to try and organise a party,SPEND MONEY on printing flyers and posters,advance money for the reservation of the venue and many other expenses just to cancel the whole thing in the end.Does this sounds logical to you?And there is not even another party in the same city on the same date so that one could claim that Subcode Crew tried to sabotage another party or anything like that.
So its a good thing that you subscribed to this forum and its a great thing indeed that you dont hide behind a nickname like many others do in this place,this shows that you are a man of integrity at least and i like this kind of people.
So if you know some things that i might dont know please speak up and i am very interested in hearing what you know because i also lost a lot in terms of money and reputation from this cancelled event which wasnt even mine.
P.S I forgot to mention that although Parko Tis Eirinis is a private business the University has a small percentage in it and still the owner of the place needs the confirmation of the University before doing anything there.So if you know both the University Authorities and the owner of the place you should also know that their relationship is not the best available lately though i dont want to provide more info on the matter since its their problem and not mine or the organisers,that thing though is the main reason of the cancelation of the party. As I see we have a new clever guy in the forum nikos papadogiannis. You must know that we don't lie to anyone  as we all know parko tis eirinis is a business but not a independent.It has his owner YES but he must take the permission for such events from a specific person from the university (it is not right to tell his name) but Detox said from where .In the past the owner didn't ask for this permission for his own reasons and make events with his rensposibility.Sometimes others students from the university take this permission with there own actions but we are not students so??You know that therms agreements with the university say that parko tis eirinis have the right to do weddings and small events with Vyzantine music.OH YES VYZANTINE MUSIC.But the owner with the university (and exactly with the man who gives the permissions and control the security of the building from the side of the university) they don't have good relationship for reasons that not concern you niko papadogianni and in that time we had been in the midle of that fight without knowing the reason until 2 days ago,because none of this two want to take the responsibility of this big event.
SO NIKO PAPADOGIANNI KALITERA NA MASAS PARA NA MILAS.I don't know how good you know the manager of the place but in this two days we spoke with him and we learn things that we didn't expected that means if you ask him he don't tell you the truth for his own reasons.
I would like to thanks Mike(Detox) for his help and understanding.So ppl combine my post and Detox's post and you wiil see that our scence have enemies and that we still have as*** in that country

the fans of psytrance who come to Patra' and the artists of course for their patience all these days'
and see that the event cancelled. We are very sad  and we have no words for this disaster.
We are very mad also  because some clever gays playing with our patience. What else can we do so beware until next time we don't give up you have our word.

Anyone who have brain can understand that the event cancelled for reasons that for sure is not in yr hands to manage it.

Hey Angelo long time no see and speak
Well i dont have a problem to answer to anyone who is asking me something in a polite way and without hiding behind his nickname like Nikos_P did in his post,people have the right to ask and know things and since i was involved in this event (even though it wasnt my party) i felt the obligation to answer couple of questions just to enlighten things up,after all like you said shit happens and its not something bad or something that hasnt happened again or will not happen again in the future in anyone's parties.
The people are sad because they wanted to have a good party during Carnival time in Patra,the artists are sad because they love Greece and our parties and ofcourse the organisers are sad too because they lost a lot of time to prepare this and also they lost a lot of money,just to give you some clues one of the two organisers lost 1500 euros just from prepaying the hotel rooms for the artists and the people who would come from Athens to work at the party (sound people,decoration,artists and so on) not to mention the already printed posters and flyers,the advance money on the soundsystem and party promotion and many more.
If this was a presale tickets party and some people had already bought their tickets and the party got cancelled and they got afraid of loosing their money then i would tottally understand why some people are complaining but now noone except the organisers lost a penny so i cant understand why some people think that the organisers are lying concerning the cancelation of this party or that this was a fake party from the beggining,sorry but it just doesnt make sense.
P.S Angelo will i see you this summer in Italy?

As Mike said we are not fools to spend our money to make a fake party.Sometimes we learn more from such things but in that case I left my self with a big WHY??????  and I don't know when I erase it from my mind.

i 'm also a student at the university of patras and i know how ''parko eirhnhs'' works at parties,so i have to say that detox and noise maker tell exactly the truth about this situation..

Too bad. It was a big opportunity for the city of patras to host one of the biggest trance events ever organised here..
