Get on a head full of good acid for my night-time DJ set and tell me forest music is fluffy! |

When i have a head full of acid everything sounds fluffy to me Anyway, i was joking... And the 2 only songs I have that are made by you both sound very happy, fluffy and uplifting. I have lots of forest myself and I do nighttime forest sets too (although I'm more of a morning suomi dj), so i know it's not really fluffy, but it's a damn sight fluffier then dark psy, and if dark psy would become fluffier and more melodic, I believe it will automatically start sounding more like forest music. There isn't much difference between them to begin with. Anyway, people can call it whatever they want... |

Agreed. Darker music can be uplifting as well. |

Where do you all see Igor Swamp's latest falling in this spectrum?, If you have heard it. Some of it has pretty forest like sounds. there are definitely pronounced melodies some of which sound really nice in a mix of Intense music. Definitely darker than lets say Sattle Battle, but not really at the same level of intensity or complexity as the set I recently saw Wizack Twizack play in NYC.

I think that Dark should be around the 130-140bpm range, groovier, harder and not just a rolling bassline with random noises and effects. It should also go for monster-lofi-drumloops, relentless structure and buildup, and basically get the atmosphere really creepy, not just pick sounds from horror films.
Oh wait. That's techtrance. Someone already did it better |

any examples of this someone doing tech trance.....getting interested....! better?
structure?.....i def agree with the build up (actually only thing i agree with)....but what structure does it need to have....i think structure is for people who want to know whats coming...and this doesnt give me a dark feeling....(or psychedelic!?)
pick sounds from horror films.....who?....leave the badly produced music out!
basically i didnt understand if you were giving us an example of dark fluffy music or wanted to show us the way for the real dark..?
