its 2006. lets talk about business side of trance music. u like business or no like business in trance. how about apening more dj schools. more mix competitions. anything that can make money and benifit trance community. list some ideas. if you dont like money or business please dont post hate here. cause you already know without money there is nothing |

For a whole range of reasons - psy trance has a very strange relationship with money - so if anyone was intending making lots of cash out of it, the last thing they should do is to admit they want to make money.
The time honored way to make lots of money in psy trance is to throw big parties.. but get things wrong or be unlucky and you can also loose a *lot* of money doing this...
Other than big parties - I dont think there's much cash in psy trance...

Hello freaks!! i was think about in other values but money...like social movement...things like food to the hungrys, work to workless, recycle stuffs on decor...those are my ideas...to get support behind good actions...all to free the raves (at least to make parties without our money , u know?)

oh just take a look at skazi infected and the like... absolutely disgusting and has nothing whatsoever to do with real trance no matter what they were in the beginning - altho infected have the talent to atleast create decent music |

Sometimes I'm amazed how much ppl can be fake!
The biggest benefit to Trance is to buy the music. The right one, and to leave the wrong on the shelf...but taste is taste....

hi ppl...
i understend your's opinion about the makin' business/cash from the trance music.
when i began to make music i thought i'll do it because i love it.
and it's true. i do what feels good
but just ask yourselfs how can we get some progress without the cash support...
anyone how release his music make also a business too.
so i love to create music but i need some mony for this.
don't u think so?????

Yeah, lets get real. We talk about the inner truth all while we drool over all these things that money buys.
So which is it?
Look if you are going to say you don't believe in money, then stop drooling over it, reach nirvana and get over it. Like get your story straight.
And you know maybe money is not the root of all evil, maybe the root of all evil is just evil. Or the inner munchies that just don't let you see clearly.
I think money is like climbing the everest. Its really not the mountain top you are after, but the energy kick you get out of climbing it. Yeah its not the palace you are after, but the energy kick you get out of having the palace. Really you could care less about the palace, if you had that same energy already in you, then you could afford to live in a mud hut walking barefoot in the dirt and be equally satisfied. So climbing the everest or getting a palace seem's is all basically a mindgame to fool yourself into thinking that the source is somewhere else other than in you.
Easier said than done, so enough of that.
Back to the question: how can you make money and benifit the trance community?
hehe, some people will answer that if you really want to help the community then start by not trying to make money with the scene in the first place. Yeah like if you want to make money go exercise your shitty and somehow basic need somewhere outside this precious garden where we all dance like elves free from the attachments that enslave the world. You see my little grasshoper the search for money when compared to the pure love of art seems vulgar and vile. That said, ship your ass back to your office cubicle where you can get up everyday to make money in an environment where you don't feel guilty about it, nevermind you would rather be bangging drums, hehe.
Maybe the question doesn't really work. Why only trance? I mean I could be working as a gardener and feel more connected to the psy trance essence than having for instance a psy trance CD store. You know, like its not what you do but the sensation you have while you do it. AUM. Like a meditation, you can be typing in your computer, be an accountant, and it can all be a deep psychedelic experience.
So I feel this issue is all really a finding your path issue, of how to find fulfillment in your life as you also pursue making money. My point is that you should not limit yourself to thinking of things which are only immidiately linked to trance. Like I said, you can be a gardener and in reality be more connected to the psychedelic essence then someone that mixes cd's or even makes music for a living. Ofcourse if you really want to do music then go do just that. And keep on going.
I am still trying to figure it out for myself, I am thinking Ecotourism. Find a nice natural setting, build a groovy hotel and make the place a psychedelic wonderland where I can wake up to make art and even have psychedelic parties and a basic music studio. So since my money comes from tourism I can be passionate about art and music without worrying about trying to make money directly out of these things, all while the hotel benefits from the art and ambience which attracts the tourists which would be where my money would come from. If things go well I can later set up in the same place an art studio and sell little arts and crafts made by different artisans in the hotel. Good stuff, orginal. I can even sell CD's and organic teas from the jungle, maybe even a yoga center for extra income. Its all in my head still, but this is the best idea I have where I can combine my love for art and nature with enough income to live a comfortable life.
