i am sorry, but i dont really understand - what the heck do you mean, by saying that

"Burningman isn't a trance fest, it's way beyond!!! "

i mean, i do understand, but for me(very personall IMHO) there cannot be a better place than a real GOA TRANCE PARTY. please dont get me wrong - as i have visited similar conception fests, where you can find any kind of non regular art creations and ppl all (kinds of music, art, video, etc). yes, i have not been at the BM and yes i agree it may be really unique in its own way, but i have always thought that all sorts of TRANCE is self-sufficient and the best and LATEST technologies and IDEAS are THERE! i see its not the same for a lot of ppl on american part of isra. i am not limited to exceptionally one type - i like proggy, fullon, chillout/ambient/lounge, funky, dub/reaggey, jazzy music, psy experimental.... still my IMHO is that you have got everything in all sorts of TRANCE there and there cannot be "BEYOND" that!
....well, if 2 take into consideration that you can play house, then i am shut up!
i have no intention 2 hurt any 1s feelings, but just wanna express my own 2 kopeykas, what may show me ltd in a certain way, but where can a tekno-house take you after being exposed TRANCE EXPERIENCE?           www.vertigo-records.com

I believe what he meant Demi was that BM has every type of electronic music almost... techno, acid, rave, house, and yes also diffrent types of trance. Our Psy-trance, is a small sect in the world as you know, most of the world has no idea it exists even, especially here in N.A. Also, i think Dr. Borris meant to say that BM is way beyond, meaning the feeling you get and the ideas there, the whole concept of the place what its about, bringing people together and new people in. and my 2 cents, any festival from Solaris, to Voov to Samothraki is far superior then BM for our type of music.... this is true only because most of the BM is not our music, and those other festivals only play our genre... hopefully one day our sect. will grow in BM and i trust that with the pople handling it now, it wont take long.           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

yeah, man! i agree to that.
but real big growth in number of attenders very often affects the quality! the superior position is somewhere in the "golden" middle.
For example, the trance scene in Moscow looks ugly nowadays - the partys are huge but ppl....
i heard some ppl say the same about Israel.
but i'd really wish there could be more ppl here in Fl.!!!! otherwise i am really going banana and all the possible and impossible fruits here! hopefull will come 2 NY 4 the 26th party yeahhhhh!           www.vertigo-records.com

i think what people are trying to say here is that burning man is really not a psy-trance festival. I went to burning man just for the trance. im from india and i was just dying to go for an open air goa party which we get so much of in india. when i reached burning man i realised how much more being a citizen of black rock city means! its the people, the vibe, the art and the man itself that make you feel as if you are living in a different world. as i said i went for the trance only and once i reached i spent most of my time just meeting wonderful people and ofcourse trance dancing my way through the night. Ive been for Samothraki last year and it is alot different. I hope this makes what Borris said clearer           ToO mUcH pReSsUrE oN tHe BrAiN

Dopey got quite close to explainig what i meant.

I've been to several trance fests (solipse 99 & 01, Boom 00, some israeli big parties) and i knew when going to BM that it's not a trance festival and that i wasn't going there for the music. I was going there for an Experience that is biger then any single trance oriented event could give me, just because the trance events are only about trance, and there is MUCH more to life then trance. yes, some fests have cool performance art and VJ and decor and stuff, but it's still nowhere close to the levels BM gets to.

And what has me playing house (or techno) to do with it? I enjoy many different types of electronic (and not so electronic) music to the same degree that i enjoy trance. I do not imply that i get the same effect from house that i get from trance, it's a different exerience, but i like to divercify those experiences.

Demi, i don't know you, but i hope that you come to a stage in your life when you will have other places besides a Goa trance party that you can truly enjoy, it's all into divercity of experiences.           Kinetic Honda GmbH, Worldwide Supliers of Quality noise.

BM- beyond belief.

i was there for the 2nd time,
no pictures/ words/ thoughts or memories to describe.
its imposible to explain what is going on there, psy trance is about 2% of the community over there.
every "open minded" person should, or better -> MUST <-experience this voyage.
btw: i have many pictures on my computer from the B M. tell me how to put them online.           It is no failure to fall short of realizing all that we might dream. The failure is to fall short of dreaming all that we might realize

hey gai-

you can also host your photos on http://www.monkeyview.net . it's free, and even gives you the option up uploading narration/music clips to go along with your pictures... the only downside is that you cannot remote link your pics as html, although you can always post a link to your album(s).

plus there is also http://www.ofoto.com as well... this requires registering with them, but they have never sent me any spam.
