Well i usually mix melodic music and some 'experimental' tracks and then move to full on music and some psy tech tracks.
But it depends on the mood of the people i guess.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

My dj`ing is on the hobby\amateur status, but still I decided to give mah 0, 02 euros

I usually play old Goa or some of the newer hard stuff like Orion. etc with some surprises thrown in, also breakbeats in the middle of the set work too.

I try to build my set like dis:

Lauri plays:

23.30-psy-fullon--breaks--psy-mellow-out-01.00

and that the set begins slower, gains momentum, peaks in clash of breakbeats (the really low bass of breaks recods is cool, like underground thunder ) and then begins to cool its heels. Also my friend has this mixer which has a sampler incorporated, It`s good
for a laugh, like if you have a good vocal sample or sumthin`

well i'm not a good DJ either..but in my opinion the categories u have given are too rigid..whawt i tend to do is generally stay with one style (full on..sometimes melodic)..and once in a while (like once every 4 tracks or so) pop in something completely new..in my case i pop in stuff thats way outside the genre..ethnic indian or arab music for example...
