These guys downloaded two of my tracks from Resonant Earth and put it on their comp... I heard that track of yours actually. It's a moot point now and no real harm done, it's just the principle           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

silent horrors 2 "albums" were 'released' by this fake label...
trax taken from soundclip.com and quality was 128mp3s...

actually since silent horror had them there available for download, i guess they did a good promotion for him :=))           • Noize Conspiracy Records •

There is a solution, make music that those dudes or any others will not like. Make disquisting stuff . . . painful . . . makes you woamit . . .

hmm.. sounds pretty lame.

it could've been a really nice way for artists to share some older unreleased music.. it is a interesting concept though, don't you think?

cheers

and btw - if u cant hold your music away fom the net ... its your fault..

SERIOUSLY. i mean, it's your own damn fault. you don't see hallucinogen here complaining about people trading his unreleased, do you?

and ok, now supposing it was some guy who said

"hey look at my mix/tracklist, ain't it cool?"

would you be upset? no, it happens all the time.

if what i've read here is true, they take stuff that's already out there, compile it into an interesting set, and there you are. what's the harm again?

i laugh because the other weekend, my friend was like "hey, have you heard of 'pondscum'? he's reeaally good, i heard some track of his from brainforest rec, you should check it out"

so, mr. pondscum, here's one guy who now likes your music as a result

Look man, you're right... it doesn't really bug me that much cos its all quite old... what I find amusing is they went and made up track names... !

Who does shit like that?

perhaps I should post a proper track list... ?

I'd like that actually... That's how I got turned on to your sound as well....

I wasn't too miffed about them taking some of the stuff that was on resonant earth and putting it out on a cd, but the least they could have done is asked me for it in quality better than 128 k mp3. You would figure that if they were going to expend the energy and compile these cds, they'd want the best quality possible for it. But that's just a personal pet peeve that I have. All that needed to be done was just to contact the artist and tell them what the skinny was. I am certain that if the track wasn't going to be released then most artists would have easily hooked these guys up.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

it is a shame that some people are so selfish and ignorant as to steal, rename and trade the music they claim to love...but it'd be an even greater shame to let that detract from the joy of creating quality music.

Very true you guys very true... At the end of the day, I still am going to write music. I don't do it to get it released or anything like that, it's just stuff in my head that needs to get out... I tend to think in synthlines... That's really the artist drive, and no matter what other people say think or do, it will not stop a true artist from creating their passion.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
