my point exactly..

even as a listener, a dj or a monkey, i still don't understand why anyone would lose sleep over this.

Techtrance? don't understand why anyone would lose sleep over this.

My friend, it's all about helping others, on this thread a lot of people show that they would enjoy a bpm database...

Look at my sample database for example, it is the biggest in the world (and I think this means it's the biggest in the universe also ), and it exists because I wanted to share the samples, a lot of people would think:

"This guy is insane... He gathered the samples of more than 1600 released tracks, organized them by label, artists and albums. He put the cover of the album with every sample and links to online stores and he did the work alone and he pays for it to stay online...
Who access this kind of information?"

Believe me, a lot of people access it, which means I'm not the only freak around, which means some freak could make a BPM database, heheh...

DJing isn't the grunt work of manually finding BPMs or tapping on a keyboard to sort out keys one-by-one... if that stuff can be automated, why not? Nothing to lose sleep over, but it's better than a poke in the eye with a shitty stick.

HEY, you don't have to get personal. hehehe..

Well, for the helping others part, yeah, it can be a good idea since you seem to think people will make use from it. I can share as much as i know if this magical Db ever gets put on-line. but why not just add them to your original DB in that case mate? since you seem to already have pretty much everything listed. Like the others said, add some sort of "instert bpm" button next to each track.

Have fun !           "VA - REWIRED" OUT NOW !! (techtrance invasion) ---> http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/86303/forum/9
