AtomixMP3, though its not the best Dj software, Has one of the most accurate automatic BPM calculation modules I've seen. (And it does match the bit perfectly, but still cant do Cue)
You can use it in its demo version just for that!

thanks all but thats not quite it. i need a proggy that simply counts the BPM from the CD ROM o what ever is played. not a tapper, or an MP3 mixer pluggin or a DJ soft. by working with Acid, wavelab or SF i need to wav the track, open it with the prog and see the BPM. try doing that 600 times..... i dont think so. any other possibilities?

I think you can do that with acid. you should play the sample and right click on it and there's supposed to be a "use sample's tempo" menu. of course, i could be wrong. :-) |

well winamp has several DSP plugins for bpm counting. tap counters and automatic ones too. one of them was excellent and accurate. don't remember which one tho. :)
just go to www.winamp.com and you'll find it easily.
winamp can play audio cd's, but i'm not sure the dsp plugins will work for audio cd's as well. need to check that out. |
