The Boom Festival 2002 was realy fun_tastic!!!

First i want to give my personal congratulations to Good Mood and Boom Team for the trance happening of the year - for sure the bigest and the best eletronic music event this year. Secondly i want to thank all the artists and dj´s for their music and performonces wich provided good vibes on the dance floor. Also i want to thank all the beatifull people from all over the world who went there.

21st August:
As programed the music started at 19h with Highlght Tribe, who had some troubles because of the power generator wich was going down, beuatiful live performance. Reefer Decree also expirenced some troubles with the generator and then all went good. At the morning time Gms, Miko and Zorba realy provide great time on the dance floor.

22nd August
On the second day Space Safari, 12 Moons and Klangstrahler Project started the lifting for a new voyage into trance music. Philip played after and Hux Flux played earlier because of plane tickets!!! Also Neuromotor played new ESXS tracks killing the dance floor!!!

23rd August
It all went as programed with Feuerhake, Box of Frogs, Pena and Vibrasphere giving the first decibeis to the dancers. Dj Natan and dj Bim also played very nice tunes (full-on style) preparing the ground to Talamasca, who played his new killer tracks!!!

24th August
Sorry mates, i was super tierd, so i went resting!!! But only at night... i got up just in time to ear and see Skazi live-act (Played Ramba Tsamba, Kill them all, Fire & Ice, Herpes and Open the Doors) and dj Dede who as a great mixing technic as well as lots of Spectrum artists unreleased tracks!!!

So it all went very nice indeed! All the artists were there!! People (15 000) had a blast!!!

Well BooM was a total blast... even better than I had hoped for. The fact is that some people had to go to the medical tent because the whole experience was just too intense!!

The setting was idyllic. ILll never forget taking a dip on the final day in my own corner of the lake just as the sun rose over the hills....

The music was blinding.... especially talamasca and hux flux (for me anyway).

Atmosphere was great - I met tons of friendly people looking increasingly battered as the festival progressed (yeah well I was not exactly looking my best by the end it is true:) and I'll be seeing some of these people again I am sure...

It rained one night which was pretty unlucky (i was feeling a little 'odd' at the time and it all got a bit dark) but apart from those couple of hours I had a perfect few days.....

THANKYOU good mood and boom people!!

For sure i enjoyed!!! It was fantastic days over there!!! I met a lot of interresting psichedelic people, artists, promoters, label managers and people somehow related to trance culture. The guys from Liquid Crystal Vision were also there, so, some film about Boom 2002 is expected to be released!!! Also lots of merchandising stores arround the world were represented there. As i said before, it was Fun_Tastic!!!           Modus Vivendus Universalis

ok, i`ll make it short.
it was great being at portugal and being and playing in the BOOM.
the organisers did the best job you can imagine, clean toilets, free water , everyone nice and kind.
the sound was awesome. deco and art were not in my taste but were far better than anything i saw from this kinda event.
great drugs, it was fun to see people outside the festival smoke joints near policemen.
about the music? well the first day was awful IMHO. the music was too much for my taste.
also in that day all djs did the worst mixs ever. but after the first day things got better.
hux flux gave a nice set, also Pena from portugal and BIM who i think was the only dj in the trance stage who really deserved a payment for his set. playing a set like a real pro, who knows what dj is all about.
space safari was also very nice.
i had great playing my set in the last day at the journeys stage not too many people came
but it was a real blast and i got alot of thank yous from people.
anyways for me BOOM festival is right now in a class of its own (in the realm of psy offcourse). best thing i can say is get ready for BOOM2004.

Yea Boom was awesome! Great atmosphere, great place, great music (Talamasca and Hux Flux were great, Skazi was very good too)... can't wait til Boom 2004!!           "When I dance, I put myself in the DJ's hands to take me to a journey - the unconscious journey to reality"

this was something,
"many happenings, and different situations" how we laughed but how true - its gonna take a while to digest this one! firstly thankyou to the organisers, you did a really good job, and my only crtiticisms pale into insignificance when compared to all that was, quite literally, awesome.

highlights for me were, hux flux, talamasca, zorba, anders tillman's morning set (ok he can't mix - i mean he genuinely CANNOT mix, but what a selection of music aaahhh), and kumba mela (in the chillout - which by the way was the most perfect chillout i've ever seen).

i truely learnt the joy of dancing under the sun at 10 in the morning, really digging in the dust and then (trying to avoid) being sprayed by the bombieros - special..

had a lot of fun with friends old and new, great to meet you PaL, Yair (the kebab), and Rob (the squid)

looking forward to 2004!

Woow...what to say we had the best time ever at the hot Boom...5 days of pure psychedelic madness!! The music was mostly full on and the highlights for me we're Skazi (the killerguitarman), Dede (with his subtle full on spectrum style) , richard Albergh (he really played with my ears with his twisted music!;) ), Reefer Decree (excellent live!), Hux Flux would have been a highlight if we didn't missed it because of the line up changes , GMS (killer remixes to synthetic's africa track & Simon's gamma goblins ) , Zorba ( man The Rush came rushing ) Bim (expected minimal from him and he played a wicked full on israeli set!! ) Vibrasphere was nice but not after Bim's set;) and last but not least Talamasca was good to drag ya trhough that morning...
For those who we're there and who werent c'yal in two years at BOOM!!

The BOOM festival was BLAST indeed! the best ever orgonised event with incredible affort from the orgonisers and pure REAL energy from the participants and artists!
The location was simply amazing, it created an absolutely magic atmosphere of a Giant Psy City with perfectly desinged Dance Temple!Art Gallery, Alternative Dancefloor with very nice reggey ,dub, electro, techno performances, and very nice Chill Out !

The only thing is the last night rain wich hadnt let to so waited Eat Static to perform, but what we humans can do against the weather!?

Best sets for me where: Dj ALex Tolstey, Philipp & Kilian ping pong,Talamasca Live,
12Moons Live,Zorba Live,Penta Live,Dede,
Pied Piper Paul,Sally Doolally,Hux FLux live,
Antix....

Amazing Festival of ALL times!
And So Pure and True Everything!

BOOM...... nice.... a fantastic time had by all.... as for me..... First time to Portugal ! it was great.....I rocked up on Mon night and spent 2 nights in the little community camped in the little valley, so before even getting into the party site.. I had made lots of lovely new friends...the site was huge (compared with most sites ive been) so it never felt too packed... more like a festival with a 'Trance Corner'.... so many other things to see and do...... very well put together guys... The vibe was very friendly and i spent every morning stomping the ground bearfoot.... It was really nice to meet people iv'e been chatting to here on Isratrance.... Mr Anteater... never got to do that chillum eh?... next time innit..! And FunkyRonster..... he he... gotta see them tights one day.!! Musically it was nice to hear stuff other than the 'London Sound'.... for me TALAMASCA outdoors on a few drops, bearfoot in the sun..... priceless...... but in my memory stays SURIA (is that right?)... blinding set...!.. ichiban.!!
Me SO Happy Me Went To Boom2002...... obrigado           ---------------------------------------------
