Mushroom Mag is hardly a book by any standards...
D, i dunno, but don't think it's likely that there is.
But then maybe Asaf is writing one right now that we don't know of (do it man, oh pleee-az).

well i wasnt looking about magazines and mushroom magazine is in german language so i cant use it a lot i guess.
I am looking for books analyzing and describing the scene

well detox, i dunno about the psy scene specifically, but there are certainly a number of books in english looking at the dance music culture and explosion. the ones i've observed have been about acid house and the rave scene in england though. i think one of them is illuminatingly called "E" ... maybe check on amazon or something..

I just finished reading a book called "Te Yarok" (Green Tea). It's about some Israeli guy who moves to New york. Anyway, the book isn't about the psy scene, but there is one chapter where he goes to a nature party outside the city, in some forest, with trance music and drugs... He describes the trippy atmosphere very well... good book, but only for hebrew readers.

there is a book called extasy by irvine welsh (the guy who wrote "trainspotting") that i enjoyed very much. there are three stories in it, especially the first one rocks. it's about the club culture, drugs and stuff. not about psytrance by any means o i don't know if you will like it. maybe read some reviews about it and then decide...

best take some social since book and u will get the answers.. its all same, its a culture question u have.. u dont need book about psy trance (and i pretty sure nobody didnt analized and published something like that)..

Tatsu , i think Tom Anteater were talking about the same book "E" ot "Ecstasy" ...
dont u think it is so early to be writen a book about the trance scene , i think good stuff comes out after the end of sth. - a lot of authors became famous after they died ...so is that the same with the trance ?

Rap and Hip Hop were underground once,just go and see how many movies and books are there now for these kind of music 
And psy trance aint underground any more,even my brother listen to it so it cant be underground any more,just walk outside and ask them what psy trance is,they will all give you an answer about an electronic music with annoying sounds and beat,if it was underground they wouldnt have a clue about it.
Go outside and ask them about Trip Hop and then you will see what is underground and what is not
