Yeah, very nice album.

I must say that I’ve only given it 2-3 full listens though. There’s just so much other good music released lately

mind the gap would be a perfect track without the singing.. the singing is just plain bad..

on the contrary, EPITAPH got great singing which suits very good to the track.

u can find "Anything U Want" using the search...

I am a big fan of BLT music since his very early work and i was very interested to check out his new album in collaboration with Danni Makov!

BLT always stood out for his originality and innovative ideas from the rest of Israeli artists who are mainly more full on orientated and more or less sound the same.

Anything U Want begins with an excellent track named Mind The Gap.The intro is very nice and the first five minutes of the track give you an idea of what is going to follow in the rest of the cd.After the fifth minute the tune becomes more danceable with some amazing vocals and percussions.Great tune this one!

I liked the original version of The Calling so i also enjoyed this Live Edition.High production quality, great atmosphere and amazing tribal mood.

Anything U Want (same name as the title of the cd) is a superb tune with great rythm and guitar sounds plus some very nice vocals! After the fifth minute the track becomes a killer dancefloor tune.I like this one a lot.

Next we have The Rain Song.Well i noticed that a lot of people like this one but for me this is just an average tune and nothing really special in comparison with the rest of the tracks in this cd.Well thats just me anyway.

Graceful Dead is a great tune in every aspect.Amazing vocals and production quality all together in a blue and moody atmosphere dedicated to our dear friend Cosma.A real anthem for Avi!

Patterns Off.... begins with an amazing introduction of a little child speaking. This is a very different track from what you have heard till now not to mention a REALLY BIG one hehe. For me the tune is divided into two parts, the first 7 minutes are more for home listening and the rest of the track is more dancefloor oriantated for sure.Great idea for sure that could be divided into two tracks easily.

Then we have Missionary Mix to a classic track that me and my brother love hehe.Space Boogie was a memorable BLT track and this mix is a dancefloor killer with great melodies and rythm in it.One of the best tracks of the album for sure.

Last but not least we have Epitaph.Well this tune for me is the best on this album.I liked everything in it except the vocals that are a little too sad not to say macabre hehe.Thumbs up for this one!!!

Well thats all folks!
Yulli, along with Danni's,help managed to surprise me for once again. This is very different music from the previous BLT albums and tracks, sometimes the tracks in Everything U Want sound more full on,sometimes more progressive and sometimes even more freestyle and electro, what a diverse piece of plastic indeed.

I will rate this one 8/10 because some tracks could be even better and more danceable like Mind The Gap for example and because Yulli in some parts of his music like in Patterns Off... track for example confuses me a little bit.

My favorites are 1(!),2,3(!),5,6,7(!!),8(!!).           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Fantastic album... haven't been a huge BLT fan until I heard this. All tracks have their place in different sets, and the whole thing makes for good listening throughout. The only thing I might change is some of the vocals on the last track - they're sort of a downer, but good for the right moments I suppose. Everything else though- top quality. I recommend this to anyone! 'Graceful Dead' was an instant favourite but I like all the tracks here... great unique sound.

Hey guys,

Tho I think this is the place for YOU to write and not me, ....

I still want to express thanks for warm reviews and kind words regarding our CD. We worked ( and still working ) very hard to create something a little different and unique and still be a part of this scene, and it works!

Your remarks are extremely important, and we are watching and take all into consideration to always get better - there are no limits in this music... So we listen even to Detox.

Keebota - thanx for giving few tries for this CD, that is the way man.. And it is fully computer generated - no hardware was used while making this album.

Great album. As with all things involving BLT, it takes time to settle down in your mind. Once it does- it's definitely there to stay!

Very special, very groovy, very interesting, very different, very fresh, very psychedelic, very emotional- in short- very all that is missing is so many releases these days.

Danni adds a percussive edge that makes this even more booty shaking- there's also enough strength here to get you jumpin'.

The sound is amazing, really engulfing you jumping out of the speakers.

For people with dancing minds!

Favorites: I like them all- but topping it are 1, 3, 5, 6(!!), 7(!).

Here is my review: http://www.mandarin.nu/data_rev_show.asp?cd_id=1165 (swedish version)

Translated version to english follows. Sorry for all grammar- and spelling-errors.

One out of many who is considered to be one of Israels most underrated artists, one of those who claims that is Shahar - and this person is now a member of a constellation who is considered by many to be one of the most inovative tranceprojects of the 2000 century. Yuli Fershtat, the man behind BLT, is back again with a new fullength album, this time he's been accompanied by Danni Makov, a hardrock drummer who's been a permanent part of Yuli's live performances since two years back, and a good friend in the studio.

With this release, I guess they both hoped to end up writing a new piece of trancehistory, something who seems to be more difficult to do nowdays - in a time were artists becomes less creative, more artists sounds like a copy of each other and labels fears to release new insecure trancecards.

01 – Mind The Gap (10:01)
The album takes it's beginning in a more progressive oriented scape with a calm atmosphere, an incredibly emotional scape that is. After nearly five minutes of more laidback progress, the track takes a quick turn into developing into a more groovy vibe, but it still keeps it's small progressive vibes. I really love the female voice, who really makes this soundscape perfect, and even if the track itself ain't the best energizer to create dancevibes in the legs, "Mind The Gap" makes itself like the hand in the glove at home. Turn down the lights, and light up some candles and join in for the emotional tour in Yuli's and Danni's state of mind.

02 – The Calling (Live Edit) (09:51)
With a positive surprise in the luggage, it was time to put on the next musical piece made by those crazy israelis, but this track does not surprise as much as it's brother did a few minutes ago. It feels like a stripped version of "Mind The Gap" overall, with a little bit more groove during some short sessions. This ain't no real dancefloorgiant, even though I can sense the adrenalinerush when the wonderful drums of Danni Makov makes themselves heard.

03 – Anything U Want (06:45)
With two more progressive tracks who's opening the album, the constellation takes a new turn into a more funky soundscape, and creates together an atmospherical hybrid between emotional progressive vibes who dances hand in hand with more groovy full-onish oriented spirits. After progressed half of the track, the hardrockbackground of Danni Makov is impossible to not sense, and the thoughts travel to the latest release of Analog Pussy, "Trance'n'Roll" - female vocal on a rockinspired ground in electronic shape. This is a true serotoninkicker, an it will bring out smiles on the lips wherever you look on the dancefloor when this track flows out of the speakers.

04 – The Rain Song (07:53)
Feelings and melodies melts together and becomes one when the album's forth journey loads up and flows out with the emotional spirit. When each tone means something, and when each tone together with another tone makes an sensitive emotional expression - well then you will most probably find yourself eye to eye with the israeli's rainsong. Those who has an heart who's most likely to beat harder for atmospherical excursions in a more soft tempo, or those who's in love with emotional morningtrance wherever they might find it, should absolutely spend some time with this mindblower. WOW!

05 – Graceful Dead (07:19)
If "Graceful Dead" is an tribute to "Grateful Dead" I'm not sure of, but something I'm sure of is that the track is absolutely real candy after finished my meal of the third and the forth track of the album. It does really feel like this constellation gives an expression of a feeling, a feeling who feels very close and real, not cold and remote. That those guys has been working late nights are beyond any doubts, because vibes delivered like this can't be found in any quick-five-minute-production.

06 – Patterns of... (13:31)
With the album's sixth track, who brilliates with it's remarkable length of nearly 14 minutes, it's time for a more chilled journey than the previous tracks of the album. With deep breaths the bassline flows forward, accompanied by a heavy deep kick. The question is if those near 14 minutes couldn't have been a bit more compressed, to something more related to like 10 minutes. It's too less action overall, even if the vibe and emotion is feeling right and it's been kept thru all the developments of the tracks. Mr and Mrs Dancefloorexperience comes to pay a visit about 10 minutes into the track - and for sure there will be many sweatdrops who will be flowing down the foreheads of the visitors when Yuli and Danni releases their wicked idea's!

07 – Space Boogie (Missionary Mix) (08:43)
Even if you've forgotten how to dance foxtrot, the boogie should sustain when the seventh track is played at the dancefloor. A twisted audiowave is surfed, and we're trying to tame it with jazzinfluences - and as whole the track creates a statement that you can do good psytrance today - without that it neccessary sounds like something you've heard before. Load up, put on a smile and dance when this groovy journey grabs you.

08 – Epitaph (08:59)
What I've been missing so far while listening to the album is a real piece of gold, the track you constantly comes back for and gets the same smile everytime you hear it, the track you skip to reach on yor cd player as soon as you've put the cd into the player. This is the track I was looking for - the absolute piece of gold and the ultimate earcandy who makes sugar seems like salt. "Epitaph" is an emotional journey with partly funky sessions, and it does really charm the listener with the sensitive lines who flows around in the atmospherical soundscape.

Summary
The album was surprisingly hard to get an hold of, and with it's emotional excursions both in the more progressive loaded soundscapes and also in the typhical israeli sound, it makes something in complete that you really do not see often in the market today. With innovative ideas such as "Space Boogie" and with love in soundformat as "Epitaph" this album fast finds it's place in the record collection. OVerall, it doesn't feel as an album who all DJ's bring to the parties in the case - instead it feels like an album who's a musical masterpiece who really comes at it's best at home during calm sessions a nice evening after work or after the studies. Close your eyes and enjoy!

BLT & Danny Makov – Anything You Want. (Tokyo Dance Records) 2004

1. Mind The Gap
2. The Calling (live edit)
3. Anything U Want
4. The Rain Song
5. Graceful Dead
6. Patterns Of…
7. Space Boogie (missionary mix)
8. Epitaph

Once in a while a progressive album lands on my CD-Rom/Diskman that tries hard to break the ordinary patterns of today’s psy trance and manages to escape the over-sofisticated or the over-deep cliché. Ticon’s Aero did it for me last year and this year this album successfully does it for me as well. It’s proggressive yet very powerfull. Melodic and yet not cheesy for a second. The album successfully pass all the usual traps that today’s artists so like to put to themselves like vocals or guitars.
How he does that I have no idea but it seems to work flawlessly.

So who’s responsible for that miracle you ask? Well it’s Yuli Fershtat A.K.A. BLT and Danny Makov (fairly known Israeli drummer). Yuli has already impressive amount of albums (3) and countless releases on various psy-labels, yet for me he always managed to be somewhere in that league with all those artists that surely know their stuff and have a lot of respect in the right circles of the scene but for me their tunes don’t really tickle a bit. Atleast not till the News EP that was released prior to this album and contained a taster of things to come. After that I knew that Yuli rather become more accessible or I got sick of all the usual Isra Full-on and decided to move on. Either way, this album rocks my socks all the way through. It’s fast enough, percussive enough and hell, even intelligent enough to satisfy everybody including my neighbours. And I don’t say it as anything but a compliment.
We have here a total story ranging from tribal and percussive grinders in the first 3 tunes (Mind The Gap,The Calling Live Edit, Anything You Want) Then we get 2 dreamy and morning melodic tunes (The Rain Song, Graceful Dead) that were crafted with the spirit of Cosma R.I.P. who surely sends some very good melodies to earth from his current location to his friends. And then we get epic 13.31 minutes tune (Patterns of) that doesn’t sound boring for a second. A 1 previosly released remix of the old Space Boogie tune with Dj Nadi that has some wicked Robert Plant samples, and as a final dish we get somewhat depressing tune named Epitaph.
All in all this album is a true landmark. It must not be missed and I won’t take lame excuses for not having it. BLT and Danny Makov surely outdone themselves and they will have to do some magic voodoo stuff to recreate anything near this in their next album (if we shall be lucky to have one..)
The album is distributed exclusively in: http://www.trance-shop.com
Buy it and you shall have some extra points in your karma account from me
My mark is: Warp 9
