People feel the way they feel and have their opinions, that doesn't make anybody better or worth. Maybe this topic makes certain people feel unconfortable, but it is never the less a fact of life.
So ignore it if you want to, but that doesn't make it go away.
On the other hand I don't find it that much offensive, we had the same question why so few woman producer etc...
And after all it was just a question.

it's not like we have racists here is it? some of the guys might have said/typed a joke or two but so what? if someone said that he couldn't see me here at winter time cause i blend in with the snow should i be offended? no and why would i be? obviously the guy/gal who said it would just be joking. nothing wrong with jokes imo. why? cause jokes are just jokes..

Iīm not a black guy my self Traveller, but thereīs some stuff that should not be done...
Imagine a guy who have being just forbidden to enter a restaurant, or a store (this stuff still happens man, we can not be blind to it), and then he comes to this forum and finds a joke like that...
When pp say this is a sick topic I donīt think itīs directed at u traveller... And I donīt think the topic was created with any sort of bad intentions... but it has grown in a direction wich is very dangerous... we might be over a very thin line here, towards respect...
Racism is a living dragon, and the scars it has brought still hurts a lot of pp... remember, this is an international forum...

Sorry Traveller. Not calling you stupid, it's just that this thread veered off in a pretty stupid direction pretty quickly and it was getting kinda depressing seeing the crap some people were coming out with. I was just expressing frustration. There are myriad reasons, mostly cultural and economic as to why you see generally see less black people at trance parties, most of which have been touched on here, amidst the daft comments. It's funny how this subject was bought up actually as I found myself walking around Burning Man thinking exactly the same thing, although not just about the lack of black people, about the lack of anyone who wasn't white.
The kind of racism posted by Praecox is not excusable though as far as I'm concerned. If the person the joke is being made about wouldn't laugh, it ain't funny. This kind of insidious racism can be so damaging.
