yes, I had a good time playing there, although getting the people started was a bit difficult.
What do you think about Lish's set? (the guys playing from 3:30)

I would like to hear reviews from someone who's been there

Cheers

Hmmz..

First: Etnica WAS at the party, and played aswell.
Second: Mark a. was booked, but was also booked on 3 diffrent other partyes, and didnt show up.
Third: 1100 entrences(?) was sold..

Think the reviews found here sucked.. You saw some people you didnt like and that was that..
Know the people make the party, and its to bad some idiots accured but that didnt screw the party that bad.

I agree the sound sucked (in a bad way that is), and im happy someone enjoyed one song i played (tim s. ohm shiva..), but the party wasnt accully that bad..

Feels odd to know i made a good set (2 mixes im less proud off) and still dont get any good critics about (I accully played a lot of great track ;] )

With love & respect...

Eli, Lish played for 1.5 hours there, between 3:30 to 5:00 (maybe a bit less).
I enjoyed their set, although it didn't fit to the Independance day mood of the people, and specialy after my set, which ended quite strong (totaly not my style, but the crowd needed some hard kicks and stomps).

Dj sekas, you're not objective about that party.
you played there so you felt it was good but it actually wasn't.
I don't mean to offend you here but- i didn't enjoy your set. imho the tracks selection wasn't very good and the set wasn't built properly. (mixing totaly differnt kinds of trance)

I'm not a dj and i don't know shit about mixing but i've been to my share of trance parties and saw many djs play, and i know for sure this party was a party for making money and nothing more.
no vibe at all!

i'm sorry if i offended you in some way, but i had to say how i feel. :)

Im accully glad to hear hounest opinions, so i dont take this to bad, its good with hounest feedback.. Im sure as hell not unpartial, but i thought what i read was complains about people, and didnt see to much effort to decribe  the other elements of the party (Light, deco, dj:s, spot and more). That was my issue, not that i wanted you to take back your story and say -"Hell this was a pretty good party.."

I accully didnt play what i wanted. I made up a set that should have worked well, a set iw used before and that has gotten me a lot of good feedback from the floors in sweden, if i could have keept it the way it was intended. Some hours before my set i got the info that i wasnt allowed to play surtant tracks (surtant labels that is), and i had to skip a lot of tracks that might have made the fades between the diffrent styles less obvious. But then again, i would still have switched styles anyway ;). I also wasnt allowed to pass the 140 bpm line, which once again fucked up a couple of songs that didnt materialized as i whould have wanted them to..

I hope i havnt lost all your hope, and i hope that you will like it more if you ever hear me play igen..

PLUR

I haven't been to this party, I was working somewhere else, but what has drawn to me to enter the discussion is the way DJ is told what to play.

I can definitely understand certain restrictions if there is a certain label DJ that wants the label tracks to b played by himself - fine ( Although I think it is pretty crappy as well and surely not PLUR at all )

A thing with the BPM is completely impossible - there is no chance that a promoter will tell me what speed to play - Jesus Christ - how far can this go. How a DJ can consider himself an ARTIST with all this BULLSHIT.

I advise for all the party organizers that read this to organize parties only and stop organize DJ's cases. It sure has cost me some parties till now and it will in the future but hey, ;-)

Come again Sekas!!!!
You were not alound to play music from certain labels?????
Was that because the artists were there playing their own music? As this I think is the only possible reason for something like that.
Who made that party? (Just so I know to skip their parties in the future).

One of the dj:s gently asked me not to play a surtant label (3d vision) bcoz his entire set, was built up on this label, and since they payed me to come and play, i didnt find a reason to disagree about it..

It doesnt have to do with the organizers, but with my choice, i could have played them anyway, but then again, i wanted to come back..

The thing about the bpm was that they wanted to build up the night. I have a tendensy to push the bpm up a bit to much (and thats a really bad thing for a dj, i know..)

Sekas, U're a good man, and although the other DJ is an a..hole for asking such a thing, I believe you did the kind and honorable thing, and in this you honored yourself.
I also wouldn't play certain artist's material if he was to play in the same party out of respect, but only if he was the creator of the music in issue and not some DJ who happens to like it (or play in the same label).

I wouldn't ban anyone from playing USTA stuff if I was playing - that's rediculous!

I dunno how was the party but to you I say - Respect, in full affect!
