RAIN was an incredible track - proper old school morning music (nothing like the baning, formulaic rubbish that some people classify as morning music these days). Never got a proper UK release I don't think, but managed to find an import copy on Tunnel.

There is a case for arguing that the best tracks those guys made were not under the X-Dream banner

AS A CHILD... (Delta) and MORE (Noosphere), anyone?

X-Dream's best album?
Hmmm, I have the feeling that is almost impossible to have a best album!

The German duo started releasing that kind of music from the early “goa” (sorry for using this terminology) years till nowadays. Every album has been a landmark for this scene. Somebody might like it more or less.

The point is somewhere else. This band has been able to re-create and re-imagine their own style and production. They only way somebody can argue that one album has been better that another one it can only be based in the emotional connection with the album it self and with the period of time.

Personally I am glad that like they never stop exploring new paths of the electronic music and they know how to do this thing DAMN good! I wish more artists/bands could do the same. “Psy-trance” is dead! And that happent some years ago……So, let’s give space to the artists to express what they feel…..

Kind Regards
Tms

I am totally agreed with Dot Kite! When an X-dream album released the scene goes to the next level of production, ideas etc..Maybe many will not agree with this but I believe that all styles of psy trance today from the most progressive to the most dark are based in X-dream's music and production formulas....Respect!

p.s.Traveller could you post the link of Alex Tolstey April top 10?

Hmmm I tend to disagree. X-Dream was a big factor in bringing us the monotonous heavy basslines around the time Radio got out, that is a fact that rings true. But most of their 'ideas' for the new album 'We Interface' came directly from their close friends Spirallianz/Midi Miliz. So if you want to give credit, you should mention them too at least. Without them X-Dream would have never gone into the path that they move through now. Midi Miliz 'Passages' was out way before 'We Interface' and that one has a lot of the same ideas, soundstructures. (Apart from the horrible electro/vocal thingy, which Midi Miliz clearly wanted to avoid, congrats to them in my book)...           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Acidhive you are wright.Sure Arne and Wayaan gave many ideas and influences to X-dream but for sure and the opposite was happened and happening! But the real muttualy reaction between these projects is the phenomenon called : The Delta

thats BS...

what makes u think Midimiliz wanted to avoid electro and vocoder??
Northern Electro Movement - das auge (Midimiliz remix) was released in 2001 on a very well respected Elektrolux label.. it was the first proper electro track that ive heard from Midimiliz and it became an instant hit in electro community!
N)E(M - das auge (Midimiliz remix) (Elektrolux)

have u heard their electro side project DER INTERPRET (Marcus, Arne & Wayan)?
der interpret - "Wechselstorm"
http://ip23.dyn181.pacific.net.hk/play/mp3/2/2256-2-1.mp3 check out the vocoder use on this bad boy!
Der Interpret - "antibody" (Boshke Beats) "antibody" was charted by Cari Lekebusch as his #1 pick..

imo track "the 1st" had the sickest use of Vocoder i have ever heard in any track!!
