ANd Spiral closed??Woa when/how did that happen? So I guess the parties are moving from one roppongi venue to another....
and Ken, for sure I will be checking your party out soon as I am back in japan. If you want me to play let me know anytime. Other than Utsunomiya on sat the 16th(?)I am not booked for anything yet, we might be making our party in Gaienmae towards the end of the month tho. (but we are definitely not the people who make the shanti parties;) ). Sounds like you guys are putting in real effort in making the space psychedelic, too many orgs in japan just think money (and not REAL effort) will take care of everything, which is okay I guess if you have a fat wallet. And about RUi, sorry I cant help you till I get back to tokyo on the 7th of april. If that is not too late I will let you know. I hope one day a killer indoor space like a warehouse can be found, I want to see some 1000 people warehouse parties!
and- I hope 2005 is a year where people with new vision and inspiration can not only make things happen but to do it together, bringing together all the people who truly love and appreciate the music. I will do my best to keep my events from overlapping with other organizers(the non-money driven ones, at least) and I hope others can try to do the same. Its going to be a killer outdoor season this year, see you guys in the mountains! (or at club m  )

Actually got in contact with Rui from Buddha Family and he'll play at our outdoor on April 23 / 24. Would love to do a "Versus" set with you Spliffnik. I'll PM you about this and other gigs.

I think this thread is really good for reviewing small to meduim "underground" party crews in Japan. There are so many organizers these days its good to know what they are all about. Please make it short and include style, crowd and website. I'm only familiar with a few in Tokyo so I'll start...
Manas
Very shanti Goa / Psy style outdoor parties, more on the Goa side. Maybe around 200+ people. Very friendly and crazy people. More of the cyberhippie crowd who really enjoy nature and the outdoors. Very nice vibe. For me, the best party in Japan at the moment.

Do many free outdoor park parties - guerilla style. 04 / 05 Winter saw them doing a few successful club parties, now they have a monthly Psy Party at Club M. Average about 200 people, mostly over 30 year old crowd but a few younger fans coming along. Great vibe! The style is also Goa / Psy, more on the intelligent full-on side. 2 - 3 outdoor parties in the pipeline this year. Looking forward to it. Energetic crew and a party that seems to be growing.

Daze Maze
Nice Goa / Psy style party. Friendly crew with good spirit. They do outdoor parties which I haven't been to but heard great reviews. Seem to have a connection with Cube326 and do occassional parties there. Love their chill DJs! Very friendly crowd with a good vibe.

Trance Cafe
Very cool friendly crowd. Always do nice decor and VJ. Progressive Style party. They usually do one outdoor every year called "Bom Odori" and the occassional club parties.

hi Ken! we enjoy your "fractal" party! im sorry i couldnt stay until last because i was so fucked up in the morning. enjoying too much! for sure you guys making one of the BEST parties in tokyo. australian people very friendly! mario from dazemaze playing very nice oldschool psytrance. very nice! see you next time. bom bom!!! |

Thnx 4 your nice words Shota. I was so glad to meet someone from Isratrance, especially great guy like you. You have good spirit and I'm sure PsyLab's Parties are also nice.
Next club party's style will also be psytrance but darker, B2 floor will only have smoke machine and laser (very dark) and music will also be darker. I think you like dark style too, right.
We will have our first Open Air at Tamagawa Camp Village (Yamanashi) on April 23 / 24. Information coming very very soon!
I'm looking forward to PsyLab's party on the 29th!!!

Ken and Sickboy..u guys party`fractal` was so nice..friendly vibe,nice psy atomosphere muzik,and gooood people..this is most important substances for party for me.
