I agree when you say biodegradable. They are by far the best I have seen come out of the states. |

what sound are you looking for?
i like a bit of variety personally-
I really like James- Deeper in Zen's music- phat punchy and hard hitting.
I like the depth of Ghreg on Earths musical productions.
Who doesn't like penta? i mean come on- his energy and get up and go is infectious.
MekkaNikka and CPU are the split results of BioD-
I've not heard new Nikka- i've heard very good things about- perhaps a more progressive/morning sound?
CPU or Samy has some killer trance for sure- I think he's in Europe now.
Quasar and Dylalien from Fractal Cowboys are making some really crazy full on stuff. Yohimbe as well...
Cyril- vaporvent's Sir Eel- not sure whats new with him- his previous work is really crystalline clear and phat to boot.
Peter Kode IV- a legend what can i say?! A bit of a mentor lately...
I've heard Yohei is making great tracks. Watch out for that name soon...
Ross- aka Random- a longtime SF psy producer has some super fresh tracks.
Chromatone seems to have the most solid production skills in town - rumor has it...
oh- i'd be pretty foolish not to mention that I really like oCeLoT music- i wouldn't make it if I didn't believe in it- my new stuff will blow your mind for sure...
lots of styles flavors and colors here in sf. no-one rules the roost here- not even hype-mongers can spin the underground into a fan machine...

Also a few other producers who have caught my ear stateside, lately and not aforementioned in this post:
Onomon: Amazing Production with lots of depth and originality....very reminiscent of early Juno Reactor, but that's about the closest I could get in making comparisons....watch out for this guy!
Wormfood: Super Clean and Killer Production....meshing progessive-psy, techno and fat guitar riffage.
D-Space: Some more east coast guys....well produced minimal sound that is developing rather nicely....fans of Iboga/Creamcrop sound take notice.
Ocelot: raging full-on that blew my mind over the weekend. Phat party music delicately spiced with depth and melody atop a big heaping helping of power and drive.

Jirah, Psychoid, Initialization String, and Penta all rate highly in my books... there are a few acts that I =must= check out soon though, such as the aforementioned Ocelot (sounds great!)...
But can we get a little respect for Canadian groups too? Nuclear Ramjet has been releasing for a lot longer than any of these guys and their production is supreme! Plus I hear there's a lot of good sounds cropping up out west, as part of the whole West Coast revolution I suppose... is there any other way to look at it? Seems like there's madness going on from BC to LA! Keep it rockin'...
