Dont you just hate it when your mother wakes you up in the morning?Especially when you have to go at your college that day?Well thats what happened today to me.My mother woke me up and handed me a nice parcel from Israel,i turned on the radio, heard that taxi drivers are on a strike and decided to give my self a day off and opened that nice package from USTA Records and my good friend Zoo-B.Fresh stuff from the Holy Land i said to my self and focused on the nice cover of Beat Hackers album.Beat Hackers are Guy Peled and Miki Bibas from Israel,i knew their name from this forum but never heard a tune from them ever.Lets skip that amazind dog dj picture from the inside of the cd and proceed to the music part.

Tracklist

01.Beat Hackers-The Small Deranger
02.Beat Hackers-Pulse
03.Beat Hackers-Cut Down
04.Beat Hackers-Mushroom.Com
05.Beat Hackers And Bizzare Contact-Beat Contact
06.Beat Hackers-System Error
07.Beat Hackers-Wave Form
08.Beat Hackers-Full Export
09.Beat Hackers-Easy Life

Review

01)The Small Deranger starts nicely with some soft pads on the backround and some nice melodies. The track evolves nicely with many backround sounds, vocal samples and sound fx and the guys for sure have their own style unlike many israeli artists that i have heard lately. The melody on the 05:00 is also cool.Nice tune for opening an album.

02)Pulse has a nice atmospheric melody on 01:00 and after that the beat goes on,nice intro.Clean sounds and good production quality,i mean the whole album will sound amazingly in a big sound system for sure. Some nice pads and melodies on 04:30 but i think that after this point the track should be a little faster.Average tune with some strong points, give it a try.

03)Cut Down starts nicely,i didnt like the sound fx on 02:30 but enjoyed the guys work from 03:30 and on till the sixth minute where i started founding this track a little boring.Really average.

04)Mushroom.Com is not very interesting in the begining but the female vocals somewhere in the second minute are amazing. After that the track becomes more dancefloor orientated.Personally i think that this one could be much better.

05)This one is an interesting collaboration between Beat Hackers and another new Israeli act named Bizzare Contact. This for me is probably the second best track of the album, amazing morning tune with superb feelings and melodies,it will rock the dancefloors for sure.

06)Wow this is actually a very nice reason to buy the album of Beat Hackers.System Error is a killer full on tune,a real stormer.Superb melodies and rythm along with great backround vocals.Gotta hear this one people!

07)Well Wave Form is the track that i liked the least from the album, nothing much interesting for me here so i skipped this one fast.

08)Full Export has some nice vocoder work in it and some nice melodies, well this is one of those tracks that you hear in the end of dj sets, not too fast not too slow

09)Last but not least we have Easy Life. This is a downtempo effort from Miki and Guy and its not bad at all,its actually a nice way of ending their debut album but this one is strictly for home listening in my humble opinion.

So this is the debut album of a very promising act.Their sound is clean and well managed and i am sure that they will introduce us to some major hits in the near future. It worths bying this one in order to get an idea on how the new sound of Israel is at the moment and to own a killer tune like System Error.Good luck on your future releases guys

My favorites are 1,5 and 6(!).

Overall Rating 6/10

I disagree with you this album is a hybrid or a mixture between several styles of Full-on, and this combination makes the album original. Young artists are also people like the rest of us, and they properly like some of the sounds that IM used to use. But when you listen to this album you hear various different inspirations like FX Astrix, IM, GMS etc. but it is done in an imaginative way, so it sounds original. I must admit I’m getting sort a tired of new full on releases, lots of high quality stuff but not that interesting, this is somewhat different, lots of feeling and lots of emotion. It’s actually rather refreshing.

Not my cup of tea - there has been only one Israeli full-on act which I enjoy dancing to (sub 6), and even then I don't really find it made for home listening... then again, I don't think a CD should scream 'dancefloor', especially an artist album, even more so a debut. This album has a few great moments in which the potential of the artists shine through, but those are drowned down in average full-on.

I'm sorry Beat Hackers - from this album you seem more like cynical DJs than serious artists. And I'm being harsh because you can definately do much better.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

and by the way ff topic:

KAZ, Sub 6 don't make psytrance

this is show everything about your taste.
you probably like house, not trance.
i don't understand how ppl like you who listen to music all the day and even make it, can't notice the different between psytrance to other trance/HOUSE genres.

I can't understand why you and few more leeches stick this name everywhere?

HOW THE HECK SUB 6 related to BEAT HACKERS ALBUM ???

this is shit

Sub6 is House!?! What the?!?!

Thank for notifying me of this. Here I was, minding my own business, thinking Sub6 is psytrance, and then it turns out it's been house all along! They certainly had me fooled.

Come on, I think it's fair to compare Sub6 with Beat Hackers. Both acts are, by some, considered some of the freshest stuff coming out of Israel these days, but they take a very different approach.

And you tell kaz he's selfish. In my opinion it would be more selfish, not telling your honest opinion about a release. Not every release out there is "killar", and luckily taste differs.

Good review by DETOX by the way. I haven't heard the album myself (yet), but they have released a few good tracks, especially on the Zoo-B 2.          DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Tasty Yakir, if you think Sub6 make house music, then u've got a weird definition of what psytrance music is all about.

The Chaos Theory, if u don't like the album, explain why. Don't just say u didn't like it. You can keep such nasty comments the way u did to yourself.

Anyway, pls stay on topic or this thread will be locked.
