Well bitches, I liked it. Wacthed it twice, this time round batman wasn't a joke like in the other movies. He got shit done and he could be more of a shithead by dropping more people from the window to shatter their legs.
My only complaint was racheal she looked so old. I know it isn't a great excuss to nto give it a 10, but she sucked, seeing HK on the big screen was ace as well

I liked the movie. In some ways better than Batman Begins (Joker/Two Face are better than Ras/Crane), in others worse... but definitely in the same direction. Found Bale's acting to be mediocre here, luckily the director noticed and centered all the cool scenes around Ledger and Eckhart. For all the people dissapointed at Rachel, we all know it's not the acting that's annoying you (best actress in the film - despite being nearly ignored by the director). She is perhaps the single rounded character in that film, the only one that actually seems remotely normal (along with Gary Oldman of course). THIS MOVIE IS IN NO WAY SIMILAR TO BURTON'S.
The insane theatricality and over-the-top antics that were Burton's take on the power of comic iconography are NOT used in this film. The whole outlook is a much more "realistic" view, taking the twisted Chicago landscapes (for all who did not know: Metropolis = New York, Gotham = Chicago) and giving them a more modern "the street is in control" atmosphere. In short, this should be viewed as an action film, not as a comic-book film (in which it is inferior to Burton's Batman, Sin City, X-Men II, and a few others). And as such, I find this one much better than most the crap that's out there.
HKGhost: perhaps you would appreciate Gyllenhaal more after you see Secretary or Donnie Darko. You are talking about one of my favorite actresses here.
Character I identify most with - to be honest, it's gotta be Harvey. I'm a nice guy for the most part, but after one bad day... well, maybe a murdering rampage is a little... (no, it's a LOT! *shot to face*).
A little film rumor: Johnny Depp is rumored to have been casted as The Riddler or as a replacement for Ledger as The Joker for the next Batman film.![](/images/pixel.gif) ![](/images/bluepixel.gif) http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222 |

Still, that's only a rumour, cause Depp is the only actor that can pull something as good as what Ledger did here.

The movie would suck big time if Heath didn't perform the way he did. I forget the idiots name who played Batman - nobody can steal the part away from Michael Keaton. Not because he was the first - but he just knew how to be Batman.

i'd love to see the next batman where his arm gets amputated by the villain, it should be Ozzy taking a bite of the batman's arm after its cooked on a flame, with some bbq sauce.
