just keep on tweaking. get as close as you can to the sound you want. will never be 100% there using another machine, as each has its own kind of sound. but doesn't matter much, you can further sculpt the sound with post processing. that's the thing: if you focus on copying something 100%, you're putting yourself in trouble.

what frisbeehead says plus: use the right kick, these days i like kicks best one semitone around the dominant bassnote, sylenth is easy, check youtube, psytrance bassline with sylenth, must be some aroun           http://soundcloud.com/vipal

thats why i like this forum:
you can always ask a question but for sure you will get answers to a completely different question (also at least one answer will contain 'sylenth' and totaly useless advice like 'use the right kick')

thnks for your answers and I know what u guys mean about tweaking but Im actually curious if u really saw the part of the video I was talking about at 5:25 its like a bass sweep, I know another way around to do it by sampling my bassline and then reverse it on ableton , but I really want to learn to do it on the synth itself if u can help me with the settings that would be great thx ! =D           http://soundcloud.com/carlos-p-0101001

yeah, totally missed the point if that's what you're asking...

you can also do other tricks, like setting your synth to legato and draw some overlapping notes, possibly play with portamento/glide, low and high priority where available, that kind of thing. the other cool thing is setting up your pitch bend range, then draw some curve for it on a longer note. easy and neat.

or bounce down (or process) some note (or the entire thing) through some granular thingy.

Yes but all he asks was how to sweep a note.. everyone seems to be over complicating ,no disrespect to anyone though because throwing other ideas Into the mix is good, but his request is simple, use the attack to create the sweep. need a fast envelope though. Not being funny to the poster but the answer is already in this video is it not           Devasya Savitur

Yeah, answer is right there and question should be marked at that specific time, not earlier on 5:25, that was confusing to start with

thak you for your answers and for your time I am going to continue tweaking till I find the sound I like, I will use your suggetions, all I wanted really is if someone has already done it on sylenth if he could share the settings thats it but if not I know I will get there by playing with the settings, not a rush =)
