I find half measures end up being that you you sometimes play with but never really use, then either gets forgotten in storage or sold for its true value of half what you paid.
Wait for the goods. It's worth it. I've waited 5 years to go modular & it was worth it 100x over.

tal bassline 101 for 30 quid....will get you there kinda and sounds fucking great for synth lines just itself without any provcessing
has OSC sync as well...so can do relatively fast bass.
nice cheap ( but dont be fooled by the price) half measure...thatll let you save up for a proper bass synth

woodster your doing what i did - ending up in software realms ..
i play with my monotron/volca on the toilet having a crap - never bored - these cheap little bass toys are great to hook up to things in Reaktor - such as molecular - then make some new unherd of basses

trust me mate.....im as far away from plugins as you can get
but i still enjoy MOLEKULAR and use POLYPLES and ROUNDS but thats it....a bit of VINTAGE VALHALLA and REPLIKA and thats me °°°ACTS 4:12°°°°

yep...
if you really want a full analog bass synth thats OSC sync like a fucking sampler then check out the Sytem EX ( system 100 clone ) by Frequency central
the first half is using a gate into the SYNC input...you can hear towards the end the sync being de-activated°°°ACTS 4:12°°°°
