Bass Science - Transmissions From Planet Dub

Bass Science's debut EP Transmissions From Planet Dub fuses dubstep, IDM, glitch hop and dub into a fresh new sound that is simultaneously super filthy and extremely clean. Italian-born, Tokyo-based dub master MattB (RaNDom) and Chicago-born, LA-based audiovisual luminary Steve Nalepa conduct their sonic experiments on different continents, mutating files and sending them back and forth across the web.

The resulting soundclash melds serious low end, deep pocket rhythms, crunchy distortion, glitchy mouth percussion, blips, bleeps and a heavy dose of dub delay. Call it glitchstep, call it dubhop…whatever you call their Frankenstein baby, it has escaped from the lab and is about to wreak havoc on dancefloors everywhere.
