OK... hmm.

just finished my 1st listen...

what can i say...

No gooseskin no nothing... nothing NEW in here :(
A very nice C.D extremely well produced by our Mushies.
Over all good tracks, some explosive fullon and some more psychedlic bits and pieces and one sinlge track that stands out here:

Dancing with Kadafi -  Best track on the C.D in my opinion, amazing sounds and melodies, combined of: Rock,Entical,Classical,Pop (10:23) -  a true master peice, really REALLy sad you mushies couldn't create a whole C.D based on these wild ideas i am listening to now in this track... i am speachless... sad feelings, happy feelings... smiles and eyes closing... nothing but amazing!

Overall nice C.D, quite a disapointment... nothing new here... same old good mushie sounds hitting your brain causing it to feel good... but not too good since your brain wants new stuff -  something this C.D doesn't have... beside track 10.

Dancing With Kadafi - Pure master piece in my opinion, not so psychedlic but sure is one of the best peices of electronica i have heard, 2 thumbs up for this track.

Waiting for the next C.D guys, hope it will have some wild new original ideas.

(might Retro-View this album after i listen a few times)

Nahh... I don't wait for their next albums.

I wish their next will be a special project which has only Duets with other artists such as: Domestic (!!), Simon Posford, Space Cat, Jorg, Xerox etc..

Hey, Don't tell me it wasn't predictable !

BNE force IM to get commercial, I knew this all since the very moment I heard Never Never Land and heard that BNE hadn't chosen Tzahi's cover.

And that's y Im not so disapointed.

I heard the album and I think that there are A LOT of very original and good ideas. It's a bit too full on for me but there are some really outstanding tracks there - no 1, 10 and some three in the middle I don't remember numbers now.. But it's much better in my opinion then the Classical Mushroom which I didn't like too much cuz I have got the Poenta very fast and after couple of tracks got bored. Here I feel the tendency to run from the 'Infected' routine and make something new. Cheers for that!!
The production is top notch btw and overall very good release - a definite must for thwe Full On heads and well the progressive heads will probably prefer something Scando anyway.. ;-)

People, I'm a bit confused...
You want complex interesting music, but you decide after 1 or no listens that it is not so. Complex music takes time to digest.
I have the album for 2 weeks, and only today I really started to enjoy it- it is much more complex and interesting than the previous IM music, and has some very good ideas, while remaining full on dancefloor sweeper, as to be expected from Infected- my full review at the site soon.

i don't agree with you shahar.
There is sometimes that u can understand from 1st listening about album...
i am also not so impressed by the album and sure won't change my mind.
Yes it's more complex, more beaty may be more intelligent and more brilliant music work but i expected for some more..
same sounds...

Ok, here's my 2 bits.

so far, a dancefloor worthy album. many new interesting sounds. beats are well composed as well as some funky ass bass lines here and there.

the downfall of it is that i distinctly heard compositions taken from classical mushroom and the gathering, and elements similar were developed (like the distorted kiddy voice from bust a move, same on never ever land, both are first trackers and they have somewhat similar meaning).

All in all, it's not a bad album. the promo sheets arent quite as usefull as knowing the group's music (it is biased, being the rec company's info sheet).

i guess i owe it a few more listen in's to get the hang of the album. one thing is for certin, it's certinley Audacious, daring in concept.

N.P - Infected Mushroom - Never Never Land

OK, listened to this C.d since i got it nonstop, track number 1 is really good too! but, like REALLY GOOD "love that "infect me" sample, and then the light part and then full on madness.
really good track.

P.G.M is starting to sound really good too... lets keep on listening

P.S: still waiting for my sallery so that i can go buy this C.D already =]

heh
yeah well, don't count on mp3's to give you accurate info.

anyways, i listened to it a few more times during work, and i must say it strikes me as rather odd to rip off melodies and harmonics from previous infected albums such as classical mushroom. the guitar line from "none of this is real" is copied almost note by note. can't remember the song name. other than that, im happy. it's a good album, well produced, and worthy of a seat of honor in my playlist ;-)

And yes, Dancing with Kadafi is Absolutely BRILIANT!

there. im done :-)
you'll read my article sometime next week or so :-), so keep tuned.
