At last night was an Azax Syndrom party in Budapest (Hungary) Azax was here but din't play even one track. There was a flyer with his name, and we (the crowd) got nothing...!!! I talked with him, and he everytime repeated that NO MONEY NO LIVE, THATS MY JOB! I ask him to play coz there are around more than 100 ppls waiting for he's live but he don't care anything.. Finally he left the party. Thank you wery much Azax!!

2nd opinion:

I met with him and I didn't wanted to spoke
him because he was so mad and and with full of anger.
As a dumb' children... and I thought(and lought at his behaviour inside) how can be a person like a trance artist so stubborn and obsessed about money and so negative...

hey guys,

In my honourable opinion Azax did the right thing. Sorry for not getting me right, but i would do the same thing. Why he would even bother for the organisers, if he has lost his touch for a good cheerfull mood that night when organisers let him down. Why they let him down? Because they didnt finnalise the agreement they made in the booking term.

You should be glad that you even saw him at the party. Nowdays its really tough to see the artist on the party with the lame organisation & promotion groups ( when they are earning on artist´s name with the flyers and promotion )

So, i am supporting him. But we should understand eachother This is just my way of thinking. Some of the people will take my word for granted, some of them dont. This is just the way of an expression ( free expression of course ).

Cheers,
P.

its fucking very annoying to fly to other country for gig (realy not sure he would go for fun only to this event) as something you do for work and u dont get paid..

now , if he would play with no money , do you think this organizer would ever pay someone again?

did the organizer let evryone in for free to see azax or just use his name to charge money from the peaple?           www.sattelbattle.com

dear kalamajka..

the fact that azax is a trance artist doesnt say that he should bend over!
artists should get paid for their work otherwise it would be very hard to continue delivering new music.

would you work for free?

grow up!

hi guys
It is regrettable such situations, but by what I see seems that is becoming "fashion".
Azax did what I think was the best attitude ...
Above all respect for the artist...

I think some organizers and labels are either very confused or are beginning to take artists for granted...

Hippy bullshit apart...people need to realize that there are people who live of this genre of music as artists. Psychedelic trance can not be taken as synonymous with charity/social service can it?

People arguing as to whether they do it for the money or for the love of the music is completely irrelevant. There is no rule that says you cant make a living out of this genre of music. Even though the pay is said to be peanuts, there are people who are happy with this little money. How are all these artists expected to survive if organizers think this is some sort of charity service the artists are doing?

I don't blame Regev for refusing to play. It must have been fucking harrowing to say the least to travel to another country and have the organizer refusing to pay you. Azax isn't in debt. with the Hungarian govt. or public is he?

No pay, no live act... Simple & fair. Stop flaming Azax, i don't see what he has done wrong here.

No Money, No "Funney"
Regev did the right thing.

When someone is work, likes to receive for the work done, is his job and he was there to do it, simple.

^^ just read this example - Adam Parahalu, showed good faith in coming to play with less money in advance, and he was told he would get the rest there...

the hippie years are long gone, and if an artist makes this for a living i totally support his attitude.
it wasn´t his problem the org didn´t payed.
i feel sorry for you that you weren´t able to listen to him, but this is probably his way of life and way to earn money - so full supoort on this.
i would do the same

I agree on principle although as a promoter I would never agree to paying his horrendous booking fee for his so-called "live" act. Let's come back to earth here a bit, because pressing play in a sequencer (not even ableton) and twiddling knobs on a keyboard with no midi out is well as unethical as a promoter not paying the "artist".

Sorry to be a blacksheep amongst all of you but I've seen Azax "live" and quite frankly I guess I shouldn't be surprised, we live in a generation of labtop artists

Now pay me bitch, I'm israeli!!
