"To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly.”
- Henri Bergson.

So, in light of the developements regarding the banned India section i've decided to extend this thread to another section. Feel free to make it ur 'home away from home', just keepin in mind the spirit of the original thread.

"Autobiography of a Yogi"

One of the most acclaimed and highly venerated books as a classic of spirituality.

"This is also the first time an authentic Indian Yogi chronicled his life story and spiritual training for a western audience."

Ok, this book is so profound!! It is one of those profound books that will linger on forever in my memory. Written by Paramahansa Yogananda's, this book is a must read if ur interested in spirituality and self mastery of 'one self'.

So, has anyone come across other books or teachings which is a type of ambassador of India's spiritual heritage to the Mordern world.

Do u have some spirtual insights into this?.

Have u ever been moved by a certain spiritual book or a certain Person ?.

I asked this in some other thread but I guess it was dismissed as sillyness.

There was a moment on a dancefloor where I saw the Mahabharat played out. It was a visual and psychological mix but I saw some sort of energy behind all the characters of the epic. Something to do with the sruggle of power and the use of really offbeat psychedelic methods to achieve it.

Do you think there was some truth to it?... not such a belief that the people existed, but one that they existed as a projection of a similar reality. If chakras and third-eyes exist in the metaphysical world, then maybe 'powers' associated to those existed as projections of the same in methods that are lost to time.

Something linked to the Ramayan:

ramblings of a madman? was a fun thought though. I'll definitely explore it further.

BTW ... for those who dont know what this thread is about:

http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/61107/forum/36

It started as a book review thread but ended up as one where we shared thoughts, movies, art and literature that moved us in any psychedelic way

i have had this sort of feeling with 'Lord of the Rings' (yea i know it sounds crazy)
we were trekkin down from 'valley of flowers' (14kms) we started late (all stoned n having fun all the way) suddenly it started rainin badly and mr. hoffy was kicking in the brain very badly hehehe..

the lights started to go out very quickly and there were mudslides everywhere had make a run for our lives.
and i and my 3 friends got kinda bummed after a while all of sudden i see this 3 waterfalls and remeinded me of 'Rivendell' and i started hearing voices of gandalf (i know i was under the influence but wtf) i cud feel sum kind of energy guiding me dont know if it was my own projection or wateve

but the las 5 kms. i know how i have got down with all the rain and mud in the shoes and feeling fucked and then suddenly feeling guided and so gud bout life in that moment was surely something i'll neva forget.

the most inturging part was after that now-a-dayz (wen i m not under the influence) i can still feel a force which has nothing to do with the physical world.

recently i read this very intresting book on chakras and how energy can be recived if ur chakras are open
the book is called 'Chakras wheels of life - Anodea Judith' helped me in getting sum answers for the experencies           the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!!

@Yidam

Thanks bro.. u said it all.

As for your post.. i totally belive that we express ourselves on a dancefloor from the core of our being. And we also view others from the deepest chasms of our beliefs. (We do that anyways, everyday whether we know it or not).
So, firstly its incredibly psychedelic what ur talkin about and secondly, its possible. Music is power and power is everything. How we harness and control that power is left to our own designs and abilities and that is something you cannot generalize.
I didnt really get what u meant by ..'did they exist'.. so say that again?

@sure_smoke_alot

I get what your tryin to express. And if u wanna know more about chakras, Gopendra is the right dude to further your knowledge.

did they exist... features and powers in us that would theoretically exist if our brains were more developed and aware...

but then that would suggest that we once had it, and lost it. its a far fetched thought.
