I just happened to go to an Aussie psy-trance forum and was very shocked to see a number of posts defaming Israelis. I hope this is not the majority of opinion in Melbourne, Australia.
Not a good look...

Man, don't worry about it... I know there are loads of good faces in Australia (notice my flag here :)), and that most of the Aussie scene are really cool people, the Melbourne mafia in particular (I was there for a month and change). |

As a Melbourne boy and a regular bush doofer, I have to stand up and say that the views shared on the Australian psy forum is not the general stance or opinions of the majority of Australian bushdoofers.
It is the postings of a few stupid, immature and inconsiderate idiots, who use the forum to put across their meaningless and useless thoughts.
Please ignore them and beleive me when I say this is not the majority speaking. It is a mere minority and should be dismissed!
Israeli's are always welcome in Australia and are usually the life of the parties. Don't take any of what is said as serious nor the true feelings of us down under.

that site has been loosing it lately and i doubt it very much it is coming from anyone in the bushdoof community of melbourne....
i would say it is a bunch of teenagers having their kicks trying to get responses of retaliation and just spamming forums.....
melbournes psytrance scence is alive and well and very peaceful indeed..... |

In my opinion, as a regular user of the melbourne bushdoof board, the negative responses are not coming from members of the melbourne psy community. We are a tight knit bunch who go to parties to be together in the outdoors and listen to wonderful music.
I for one don't think a party really starts until the Israeli's get there. They just have so much positive energy and get everyone stomping.
So, as Benny k said, please ignore the defaming Israeli post. You are all welcome in our land, we live to listen to your music.

I thought its better to stand up and say this is not on, and maybe get a concensus of people who disagree with these posts rather than ignore it. |

hay people, as a trance lover living in melbourne I can assure you that those who you refer to are very much a minority and they got plenty of criticism on the site you are talking about.
however I should add that maybe there would be greater friendship between australians and israeli if you didn't all come to australia and only ever hang out with other israeli people. australians are a very easy bunch to get to know but I have tried on numerous occasions to start talking with israelis and you don't get very far. we love you coming to this country, it would be even better if you could maybe smile a little more and meet some people who aren't israeli???!?! |

Liptonice, i can see both sides of the coin in regards toi yours and mk11's opinions.
You have to realise that by doing this you are adding fuel to the fire, because the melbourne doof site allows unregistered users to post. So what you have said will just give them further incentive to piss us all off.
I in no way mean to be derogatory to you, just want to let you know that we have had some instances earlier in the year when some members of the community were slagged off for no apparent reason.
BUT, i do see your point of view also, and that people need to see what has been said. However, we all know that it is not on, so it may be better to communicate by e-mail from now on in regards to this matter.

when i go to a party though i don't say hey there is a bunch of israelis or theresome japenese people or theirs a bunch of the usual aussies....
when we all go to a party races and every day life is forgotten and left out in that bizarre world we exist in.....i see everyone as one and a bunch of doofers enjoying themselves getting down to bunch of tunes...
andrew you sometimes have to realise that the israelis are in australia on a holiday and may not speak very good english so it is up to us to make them feel more welcome and party with em dance with em and hey offer them a beer or a choof of ya spliff it goes along way and next time they will remember ya and you have a friend for life.... |

this is the sort of scare mongering i expect of mainstream media, - picking up on the sentiments of a small minority within a culture and blowing it all out of proportion!
this is obviously not the beliefs shared by most of the aussie doof community, common sense should inform you of such...
