I am sorry but you are very wrong there, we also like a lot of harder psychedelic nightmusic...from Seroxat to Derango, GOW, Jahbo,Digital Talk, Neuromotor, etc and there is a lot of different parties occuring with 2 or 3 dj's on the lineup playing this music. In sydney we see a very broad spectrum at our outdoor bush and forest parties.
Maybe sometime if you come to Australia you can come to our parties and see us having fun

Tract, I was not talking about this line of psychedelia, but the more funky one.
Btw, what's going on with Giwa? Any releases soon?

If only Israel was as Psy as Oz.
We have a few things to learn from the auzzies, the way I see it.
Not keen of psy, my ass....
And if they're not digging auzzies in Oz, they should come resettle here. And the sooner the better.

To all guys at psy harmonics, i dont think that people dont like psy. More and more people are getting into the dance scence from the pub scence. Nrg and hard trance ( the real sad shit!) some of them go to rave clubs as such every week and the have never heard of psy trance and there all into the the harder sence. I have been into psy for 5 years and the people at the parties have got worse and worse. Less hippies who are cool unjudgemental people and more ahhhh wankers. For the psy harmonics point of view i know its the spine of psy were it all starts but i thing u should go for a different angle maybe through one of those cafe lables!
BE WELL

Maybe if most of the 'psychedelic' music being released sounded more like what Psy-Harmonics are releasing rather than "Nrg and hard trance ( the real sad shit!)" then there would be more "hippies who are cool unjudgemental people" & less "wankers".
Bit judgemental yourself methinks

i live in sydney and from what i have seen the vast majority of the music that is played here by djs and live acts at parties comes from overseas (ie: either a overseas based label or from artists outside of australia). also when it comes to live australian artists that play here, there are a few that i would say have 'european' sound. for eg we have had artists like legohead, spacetribe, illusion of self, liquid, mr perculiar, fractal glider, luna orbit, scatterbrain, sensient, drooid (scs),locrian, urtek, & the random designers. The local sydney djs playing in sydney are also playing the non psyharmoncs style much more than psyharmonics style. ive been to a few parties over the years in melbourne aswell and the majority of the music i heard there was in the same style as i have mentioned. i havent been to a party in the north coast or brisbane for a while.. so i cant really speak about whats going on there.
The scene in sydney here does appreciate the psyharmonics kind of sound and at times you will find djs/live artists like benza, the giiwa guys & franny at parties here.. just in small doses.

Moved to the Nothern Rivers area (Byron) 3 mnths ago. Went to about 5 doofs so far. I can honestly say that at least in these parts, Aussies love their Psy. As for the actual parties, a range of music gets played. Biggest dancefloor killas are mostly Israeli trax (ie Sub6, Infected, Astrix etc.) A bit of Breakz gets played in the morning which is a breath of fresh air. Heeps of outdoor doofs, every weekend, even in winter!
Thanks for the warm welcome Down Under.
Shout Outs 2: Malachkeye, Franny, LukePsyWalker, psySid (djSid), adiSababa, Planet X (Luke), ImRUN, A.I. Form (Jerry), Sumodh, Sinned.
Remember kidz, it's all about the Dancefloor!!!
Look Out for my DJing debut on July 17th, out there in the Bush. |

I was just having a quick read thriugh the comments. I know That Brisabne has some cool parties, but finding out about them can be a little difficult, unless they are well organised comercialised events. speaking from my (limited) experiance, central brisbane seems to be going through a bit more of a drum and bass stile. At the places i like to go anyway. Maybe i'm going to the wrong places? there has been a few good outdoor psy parties...any brisbane people out there care to point me in the right direction? |

not too many trance parties in Bris. Olli Wisdom & Nexus Crawler are playin here at the start of August. If you want psytrance, best to get a car & do the Byron missions, otherwise embrace the local culture
