Police just arrested 50 people from the port of Lavrio who were going to the Samothraki Festival for drug possesion including xtc,cocaine and hashish.
A friend of mine called me and told me that there are even more arrests.
Be carefull guys of what you posses and where you hide it.
I am afraid that now police will be more strict in the festival area since the matter is already on national television.
Take care and be carefull.

i will miss portugal friendly police, i will miss german law that say under two trips and 10 gr of hash u will not be arrested.. i will miss lack of laws at hungary..

Well sad to say it but i guess things will be very difficult in the near future for the festivals here in Greece.

i'm just thinking.... what will happen in the winter if something really big happens in samothraki...
i mean if it gets bigger and they arrest more... and it gets like a scandal... or whatever, you know what i mean... the police will have more excuses to be there in every party... and this may mean no more parties... at least not in the city...

Hey man, I think you are wrong.
We have the same situation here(police), BUT as you saw we had Texas Faggots on private underground party.
And AFAIK there were also underground parties with Wizzy Noise, BigWigs, Sun Project, X-Dream and much more...
And of course all of Israeli mafia.

I've been at the Voov and asked god to take me back to the parties in Israel!

if you want to book X Dream you need at least 200 people just for their expenses so the party will have at least 500 people and thats not underground i guess LOL
Underground is 100 people yes but no more than that

I have to disagree with you detox.
I personally with all kinds of friends and companions have made underground parties here in Israel for between 300-2000 ppl.
In my perspective underground party is a party that is not promoted by the usual promotions keys (flyers,posters,internet etc.)
but on a word of mouth, un. party is a party that holds the spirit of underground inside in things like: djs and artists participating, the general vibe in the party, and the lack of proper authorization from whoever its needed (and here it very needed when you want to make an 'authorized' party).
To sum up my opinion I can say that underground is a way of living and not the amount of ppl attending the event, I have been djing and orgenising parties for 10 years now and I'm still not known almost to anyone outside the scene's circle and even inside it and I feel fine with it.
