Top sound quality and production, but very average and outdated tracks... :-/ I only liked chaos and techno drome...           In This World Have Your Own Bpm...

Listened to the cd just once & was very dissapointed. I was hoping for a classic return to quality inspirational work like "Dancing Galaxy". More like a classic anti-climax.

It's funny to read the responses from 2003 when the psy scene was moving in a progressive/minimal direction. Nowadays, there is a "goa resurgence" with artists like Filteria, Ypsilon 5, Ka-Sol, Radical Distortion vs Mendarik...etc. I listen to this now, and while it is not groundbreaking like their earlier work, it is what Astral does best. Goa with top notch production. Layers upon layers of melody with a driving beat. So sit back, relax and take a great trip. Maybe these pioneers were ahead of theor time after all.

On the other hand, next AP release will sound harder than any of their previous work, that´s for sure. The wrong point with Amen was that the drums were not dry enough - uhh, I mean, if you take any 95 track and make the drums harder it will sound 2006 and amazingly it will rock the floor. Last party I Dj´d I made an experiment: I played Ganesh superb track ´Sheyba` with a 5 percent increase. The floor went crazy and a lot of people just stood listening curiously to it (the ones who never heard Goa before).
Anyway, Amen is a good album. Hope that their next will be better.

Peace and Love
